I know you're new to this board, probably a Disney refugee. This type of crap will not stand here. If you've got something substantive to bring to the board then do so. Otherwise refrain from posting.

Harsher than I would put it but...

trade player except for a select few for prospects and young players. Might suck for a few years, but the farm is empty of any real talent and the players that were good on the team have gotten injured, old and used up.

Pablo needs to go to an AL team in need of a DH.

Blanco and Torres just need to go for anything. The Giants have minor league players who can not hit just as well as they do. Maybe they can even run the bases correctly.

Timmy has no control of his pitches get something for him. He is sure as shit gone in the off season anyway. Heck I don't even care if comes back to be a 5th guy in the rotation.

Lopez, Affeldt, and Romo could get a few good prospects. Every team needs bullpen help.

Zito is going to be a free agent after this year. If the Giants can get him to wave the no trade clause and ship him to a contender who needs a fifth starter for anything its all gravy.

Quiroz and Sanchez can go as well. Just DFA Quiroz he blows and Sanchez can go be a back up on a team who needs a catcher who cant play defense or hit.

Scutoro can be traded to a team that can use a no defense but can hit second baseman.

They can become the Red Sox of last year. They got a bunch of real good prospects and young players. This year they are in first place and they have a bunch of great prospects to bring up the next 2 years to make their team even better and to prepare for the lose of key players next year like Elsbury.

LOL

They're only 3 games back in the division and you're saying blow up the team...stick to football.

4 games back worst in NL west. Dodgers up a game and a half on the Giants now. The dodgers who everyone including myself were writing off. How far down do they have to drop before you think major action is needed?

Maybe living in MA where over reaction for the red sox has rubbed off on me. But I haven't seen a good team on the field for most of the year.

I don't think anybody wrote off the Dodgers. They were always waiting in the weeds and they are now almost completely healthy and on a roll.

BUT, exactly. YOU wrote off on the Dodgers, and were wrong, which is the exact reason you shouldn't write off the Giants.

Anyone else on the sell and rebuild train. I think its time. They are playing like they wan the first overall pick. Almost like they are tanking to get LeBron.

Sell a piece or three, yes, been there for a week or so. Total rebuild? Hell no, the core will be retooled and competitive next year.

Nothing new here, but the only untouchables are...

Posey
Bumgarner
Cain
Crawford
Belt(??-mainly because we would NEVER get enough to offset his value to the team)

Would you keep Sandoval. I can't imagine his value could get any lower. Have one more year on him might as well keep him to try and get his value up?

You are probably right. However, if a contender needs a 3B, dude has 2 rings, a WS MVP trophy, and a marketable nickname.

I suspect we could get a nice package.

I am sure Sabes is on the phone with your GM as we speak. Sending him to you guys makes too much sense.

As far as my making an offer, I am completely ignorant about your farm system. I would not even try to put anything together.

But realistically, you guys are not buyers right now. You should go after him in the offseason as a FA. I would expect the Rangers, Pirates, Reds, Tigers, etc to make offers for him. Not the M's.
