Time for the annual "batflips vs. fist pumps" debate

Well, since Jake Arrieta wants to be all "you can only flip a bat if you're a veteran," where are you guys on this issue?

I think batters should be allowed to flip a bat, knowing they might get a fastball in the earhole, and pitchers should be allowed to fist pump knowing they might get a broken bat up the wazoo in the parking lot

if a veteran batter is in there when Jake flings one of his high-n-ins towards the batter…i'll assume it's ok for that veteran batter to just swing at that inside heater while letting go of the bat towards the pitchers mound.

I have no issue with bat flips, and I also have no issue with the guy that flipped his bat catches one in the ribs the next time up as long as it's played in an NL park.

In the AL where the pitcher doesn't have to bat, beaning an opposing player is a bitch move, but then again, the DH is a bitch rule to begin with.
