Havent posted in a while. Just hear to say I wouldve hit kins in the fucking teeth his next AB. No questions or remorse about it. People are gonna say "getting him out is getting him better then hitting him is." No, thats not good enough. Seeing him in physical pain is what I would've wanted. But that's just me.

I gave Kinsler a pass when he made the 0-162 comment because you could tell there were still some hurt feelings there about finding out he had been shipped to Detroit via the media while on vacation. People can say stupid things when they feel they have been wronged.

But the taunting of his teammates after hitting the HR last night was just low-class and immature and showed that he clearly just needs to get over it all. I always knew Kinsler was a bit immature when he was a Ranger... not in a vicious way, but rather more like a silly kid. But the waving to his old dugout was about as childish and petulant as it gets. I'd love to see him get drilled for it.

These immature punks like CJ, Hamilton, and Kinsler just don't get it. No matter how you feel towards JD, you don't disrespect your old teammates and fans in such a public manner. All 3 deserved the boos rained down on them. I was in the anti-boo camp toward Kinsler before his little punk move, but now I say boo away. There's a reason why Napoli, Murphy, Nellie, and MY got loud ovations upon their return and why CJ, Josh, and Ian got booed- class vs. trash.

I can't believe how many " ex-Ranger homecomings" the fans have given over the last few years. My big criticism of JD is that I think he doesn't care about team chemistry. We had a World Series caliber team not too long ago, and I think he's done a poor job of trying to maintain the team chemistry that we had. To rub salt into the wound, most of the ex-Rangers are currently doing great things for other teams.

:doh:You mean like CJ and Josh who have never done for the Angels what they did for us and Kinsler will not have two 30 30 seasons for Detroit.:L

@JonHeymanCBS: injury-wracked #rangers listening on veterans, spicing up trade market (tho beltre/yu likely stay) Rangers listening on their core of vets, spicing up weak bat market - CBSSports.com

Honestly, I would be "ok" with trading Andrus. I like Elvis....but one of he, Odor & Profar have to be moved between now and next year.

....and I'd rather have the 2 younger guys with more pop. (esp. since Profar can do almost if not better of a job at SS)

I'd hate to lose either of the 3 - but something needs to happen.

You can't keep everyone, and sometimes you have to go with youth or risk becoming the Phillies

Cruz was more likely to have another mediocre season than what he is doing now, and I think e will continue to come back to earth, he'll still have a good season but his pace will slow dramatically (has already started)

Chris Davis is starting to show his true colors, power is there but the average no so much

Young was toast

Kinsler was injury prone and room was needed for Profar, its just unfortunate that Profar got hurt, I have confidence that he would be doing about the same as Kinsler if he had played

Napoli was unfortunate, they knew something was wrong with his hip and he even scored a good contract witht Boston initially but it was rescinded due to the hip and he refused to give the Rangers another shot b/c of their perceived lack of loyalty

CJ wasn't worth the money he got and Hamilton was a head case that quit on his team

Plus Hammy is not worth $25 mill. Kinsler seems more motivated especially against us. Makes you wonder just how motivated was he the last few years. CJ is a weird bird but he can pitch until his arm falls off. His stamina is ridiculous. But I hated losing Napoli and Cruz. I like guys that can cause some fear for the other teams pitchers and have some swagger to them.

I understand what he is saying at a high level as sometimes I think we should have tried harder to keep some of that 2011 team together but I can understand what was done when it was done. But we have to be careful or a feeling of no loyalty to a player can permeate the system. And that can demotivate.

As I've mentioned before recently, EA has just been irritating me. I can't put my finger on it. I still believe he's being asked to do more than he's capable of in the 2 spot. He should be in the bottom part of our order because he's not a run producer and frankly isn't that good of a hitter. That changes with the injuries because we don't have anyone else to put there. Hell, Choo shouldn't even be in the 3 spot. My point is, I'd be a little nervous about Profar's injury, but if he's healthy, I think he's every bit as good as EA.

I think there's a good chance EA is moved some time before the start of next year.

It's hard to say how things will shape out for next season. I was a huge Profar supporter before, during and after the Kinsler trade. It's hard not to like the small sample size from Odor and really Sardinas as well to a lesser degree. Middle infield looks to be a position of strength from which to trade from. Anyone and everyone should be available in discussions with other teams and most likely will. I think most teams will have more interest in the proven commodity of a 25 year old shortstop with 6 years vested with two trips to the World Series. I know I would if I was looking at Texas infielders. I'm not for any player over team betterment. I just have a hard time seeing Elvis as the odd guy out. I think Elvis has yet to play his best baseball and his years from age 19-25 are the best short stop play this organization has seen. That isn't easy to kick to the curb for the potential shown from others. This will be one of the more interesting things to watch develop.

Agree. Kind of the old bird in the hand theory. For me it's about Odor or Profar. Neither or ready to replace EA at this time. I think Beltre will have to DH soon and Profar would fit nicely at third. That is what I think is best for the team but not necessarily popular with this board.

I dont see Beltre being DH next season... that's the problem.
Well, not really a problem per say...

As it stands currently, there will be 3 (or 4) players for 2 spots. (SS & 2nd)
By the time Beltre is moved off 3rd, Gallo will be ready to move right in. (assuming he sticks at 3rd).

(I see him getting corner OF duties in the near future....as that's an area of need for the system right now).

As we have seen, anything can happen. Whatever, we are deep in options. AB's legs are fine now but suspect.
