On the potential trading of Darvish:

If there is a Teixeira trade possibility, it is with Darvish. At an average of $10.3 million for the next three years, he’d be a bargain for any team and a boon for its pitching staff.

In addition, there is the real possibility the Rangers won’t be able to keep him through 2017 because of opt-out clauses based on where Darvish finishes in the Cy Young voting over the next two years.

If the Rangers want to make a franchise-changing trade, Darvish would be the most attractive name. And if they trade him, they’d be dealing away the closest thing they’ve had to a real ace in more than 20 years with no replacement in sight.

It's a 100% No.

(no disrespect meant, but this one is a guarantee)

I'm in Gun Barrel City and it started raining about 40 minutes ago and it's coming down.

I was in Dallas this past WE and checked the paper on YTD rain fall, and I swear, we've had more rain this month to the east (1 1/2 hours - 8/9+ inches) this month than y'all have had all year.

Cedar Creek Lake has been on the rise for 2 months now.....not to be confused with full.

In Tyler we got another couple of inches or so in a half hour, as we have almost every day at some point for almost a month it seems. I am sure if it ever stops we are in for one of the hottest summers in awhile

Fan base makes me sick sometimes.

Happy for Ian. Shut the fuckers up.

The cheers were louder than the boos, I don't what they're thinking either, he's got nothing against the fans or the team.
And he's still friends with Beltre, Harry and EA. He talked to Beltre and EA over the phone when they were in Detroit, that was reported on the MLB site.
It was all about JD. As far as "I hope they go 0 and 162", of course he wasn't serious
he shouldn't have said it in any case, but had he known what was going to happen to the Rangers, he NEVER would have said it.

and then he drills it, I'm not the least bit surprised

and I agree, shut up booing Texas fans, you sound ridiculous or.... boo away, he obviously didn't give a shit
idiots

Apparently MLB today announced that this blocking rule will no longer be enforced with respect to force plays at home....Pirates were called on this last week...what a joke of a rule....

I would stand up and clap for him. I didn't take his comments to heart... he was a big part of our WS core. I pretty much even forgive Josh at this point but still hate he went to a rival.

I would too, and some fans did. ( I have the game on the MLB channel) A lot of fans were clapping for him AFTER the HR. Why not, Ian has nothing to do with our crap season, no reason not to wish him well.
Before the game, Ian said it was great to be able to have an extra day to "sleep at home" said he had no idea how the fans would react, and talked about how strange it would be to be sitting in the visitor dug-out.

the idea of the rule was okay, but they didn't establish what was "blocking the plate"

When I think of blocking the plate, I think of the catcher down, on his knees or squatting with no way for a runner to get a half way normal slide in...
I don't think of a catcher standing up, trying to catch a ball from foul territory, he's standing, slide into him idiot, big deal

it was a horrible call, and a waste of a very nice play from Yu
