I want to keep Austin as DC. Do not want any changes there. I want to keep Caldwell for the simple dream that Peyton will come join him in Detroit and be our OC when he retires.

I like the Manning idea.

Still don't want Caldwell managing games though.

If we have two votes goin' in one thread we might break the Internet.

For the record: Id like everyone fired, Austin re-hired as HC and Caldwell hired as some sort of calm overseer that isn't on the sidelines.

No I would rather have Austin running the D all the time and that's it. Although I question lack of pressure this weekend. Only game I have done so... He gets a pass, just one or two or three. Been awhile seeing a solid defense in Detroit.

I don't think Austin lasts very long as DC.

I've already heard his name mentioned for college HC gigs. Wouldn't doubt it if he interviews for NFL HC gigs during the offseason. (Don't think he'd get one yet, but he could)

Haha, you can vote it all you want. It won't happen. I don't care either. I would be OK if they gave Xanders a shot. I just do not see it happening. Not in Detroit. Takes forever and usually either a death or a winless season.

Why put yourselves through that? Worry about it in the offseason.

I can agree with both statements. Plain and simple fact for them. Take care of business on their end. Anything less than 11 W's and you are wishing for everyone else to lose. Not sure the offense does enough to get to 11.

Me either Gandy. Unless something is fixed I do not see us getting past the WC round if we manage to back in at 10-6.

Stop with this. He is not going anywhere so it is pointless to keep saying it. All those horrific teams from the 70s and 80s and GMs didnt get fired. It took an 0-16 to get rid of Millen. Hoping for losses in anticipation of Mayhew losing his job is nothing but an exercise in futility.

Mayhew won't be fired until after next year, but I can still wish for a Christmas present.

You can wish, but it wont happen next year either. We could lose the remaining 5 games and he still wont get fired. 7-9 teams don't get GMs fired in Detroit. Lions brass too lazy to take action. It will take like a 2-14 season or worse for anything to happen. We are not going 2-14 anytime soon.

Millen did stay employed thru two 3-13 seasons. But he only made it to 0-4 of the all defeated season. That was coming off 7-9.

I have faith Mayhew will be gone. It's a New William Clay Ford. Just like its a New Jim. Wait..... Shit.....

You've crushed my Tuesday OL.

Who we really really need to get rid of is Raiola. Maybe he has been the real problem the last 15 years. Until you completely get rid of the cancers you can never get better and get back to normal.

I have actually thought this more than once.
