Here are his numbers so far this season:

21.3 PPG & 6 APG on 52% shooting.

In addition to this, Wade went 11 straight games before the Phoenix game shooting 50% or better

Those who thought Wade was done....are morons.

He reinvented his game playing with Lebron. Now that LeBron is gone he isn't just going to forget how to be efficient.

Mr Hockey you just gave D wade a backhanded compliment of the Lebron variety.

He should've retired on top.

A shell of his former self.

The only stat that Kobe has over Wade ove those that I listed is PPG. Kobe is avg 4 more PPG on 6 more shots per game.

Wade would avg close to 30 if he was getting 22 shots per game.

Kobe is at 5 APG and is shooting 38% with a PER of 19.4

Wade is at 21 PPG and 6 APG on 52% shooting with a per of 23.9

Wade numbers are obviously better

Yeah no doubt.

But making a comment about Kobe numbers being better than Wade's just isn't true.

My guess would be that if Kobe had the team around him that Wade does, their already close numbers would be virtually identical. More help for Kobe would likely see his points and shots per game drop closer to where Wade's are and his assists and PER would come up to about where Wade's are.

Regardless though, so far this season, both have done a great job of proving a hell of a lot of doubters wrong and I hope they both continue to have great seasons.

They are both much closer to the ends of their careers than the beginning and will missed when they are gone.

I thought the skepticism around Wade was his health, not his game. How many games is he going to miss this season? How will this affect Miami in the postseason? Will Wade miss any games in the postseason? These are the real questions.

Wade obviously can still play. The question is whether or not he can stay healthy.

Wade health is not the issue.

It's the rest of the team injuries that is an issue.

We are starting our 10th different lineup tonight with no Bosh or McBob available

I agree Trojan, but if you were to ask me if Kobe was still the best SG in the world before the Achilles injury then I would have to say yes. As far as who's better right now, I guess we will find out on Jan 13. I'm sure all the Heat and Lakers fans will be watching that match up closely, should be fun to watch yet again. Got to enjoy it while you can. :suds:
