The issue is gambling related. The owners are making money from fantasy football. If they're not fully disclosing information they're open to accusations of running rigged games. I feel sorry for the Seahawks here. Their offence is minor but the NFL probably needs the penalty to be seen to be draconian.

And I can't say that wasn't in the back of my head when he was hired. Luckily for Hawks fans the good has heavily outweighed the bad. You can say the same about his time as USC.

Far be it from me to gloat at something shitty happening to the Canal Pheasants.

The Ideal Gas law doesn't apply in this situation.

But Dez still would have caught the fucking ball.

Some could, but I couldn't or wouldn't.

No official National Titles during his tenure at SC.

2003 National Title officially belongs to LSU, but Pete & SC want to claim a split title even though they signed off (As all coaches and AD's did) on conceding the NT in the event the AP didn't agree.

2004 National Title officially belongs to nobody as Pete's Trojans had to vacate the win for rules violations.

I'm glad for the few Seahawk players and fans I like, that they got their SB win, but IMO the same can't be said for those players and fans at SC.

Is a NFL team suppose to report all injuries, even an ingrown toenail? Sherman played the games, so what's the big deal?

"All players with significant or noteworthy injuries must be listed on the report, even if the player takes all the reps in practice, and even if the team is certain that he will play in the upcoming game. This is especially true of key players and those players whose injuries have been covered extensively by the media". Question, was Sherman's injury "significant or noteworthy and was his injury covered extensively by the media"?

The 2004 (2003 season) National title was a split title between USC and LSU. USC won the AP National Title and LSU won the Coaches title. Both teams have a trophy. As far as an USC fans I will always consider USC as the 2004 National Champions, but that is just my opinion.

The Associated Press was not tied to the Bowl Championship Series, and the trophy could be awarded to a team which did not win the BCS National Championship Game. This has happened once after the 2003 season when LSU won the BCS title game, but USC received a higher total of votes in the AP Poll, and therefore received the AP National Championship Trophy. Teams serving NCAA postseason bans are still eligible for the AP National Championship.

USC will still display the 2003 and 2004 AP national championship trophies at Heritage Hall. They are still back-to-back national champions"

The 2004 (2003 season) National title was a split title between USC and LSU. USC won the AP National Title and LSU won the Coaches title.
The BCS was created to end split titles though, and the Champion was to be determined by the winner of the two teams selected to the BCS title game.

The AFCA, who Pete was a part of, was contractually bound to vote the winner of the BCS title game as the National Champion, and the contract was signed by each conference which required them to recognize the winner of the BCS National Championship game as the official and only champion.

So even though SC won the AP title, it is not an official title, and should not be recognized because Pete, and the PAC10 agreed, that they would only recognize the one Champion, and in 2003 season that was LSU.

Agreed man, a 2nd round pick would be a very harsh punishment... Obviously Pete made a mistake, I guess he thought it was reported, but Sherman clearly wasn't the same the last part of the season... But he was playing through it and wasn't hobbling around or anything...

Made a mistake
