Clemson approved of a new contract for Swinney following the 2015 ACC title and College Football Playoff selection -- a new deal that will see Swinney's salary rising from $3.3 million annually to $4.55 million in 2016.
Oregon State’s dual-threat quarterback Seth Collins has had a change of heart and will return to the Beavers program in 2016 instead of following through on a plan to transfer to Northern Illinois. He will do so playing a new position according to a report from The Oregonian. Collins will make a switch to wide receiver.
Boise State’s depth at quarterback just got a little more shallow, which is somewhat to be expected. On Saturday in Boise State’s spring game, freshman Brett Rypienplayed well and made a case for the starting job heading to the summer. On Tuesday, Boise State announced Ryan Finley will pursue a transfer to play elsewhere.

Following up on speculation that’s been building for a couple of weeks, Streveler confirmed to the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he has been granted a release from his scholarship and will transfer out of the Gophers program. As Streveler will graduate from the university next month, he’ll be eligible to play immediately in 2016 if he ends up at another FBS program.
While there’s no official word yet from either school involved, FOXSports.com‘s Bruce Feldman is reporting that Joseph Scelfo has decided to transfer from South Alabama to North Carolina State. Scelfo would be headed to the Wolfpack as a graduate transfer, which means, of course, that he will be eligible to suit up for the ACC school in the 2016 season.
The upcoming season will be the senior’s final season of eligibility.
Ahead of Saturday’s spring game, head coach Brian Kelly announced that the defensive end has been indefinitely suspended from the Irish football program. The only stated reason was the catch-all unspecified violations of team rules.
In a press release, Toledo announced that defensive tackle Earl Moore and linebackerJeremi Powell (pictured) are transferring into the Rockets football program from the Hurricanes and Gators, respectively. Both will be coming to UT as graduate transfers, meaning they will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.
This will be their final seasons of eligibility.
While the football team has yet to address his status with the program, Jordan Diamondtook to both Twitter and Instagram to say his goodbyes to AU, writing the spring game “was the last time I will run through the smoke at Jordan Hare Stadium.” It’s unknown if the offensive lineman, who will be graduating from AU, will transfer and continue his collegiate playing career elsewhere.
