Clemson defensive back Adrian Bakersaw his spring football season cut short. Baker suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the remainder of Clemson’s spring football practices, according to a report from The Post and Courier.
A health issue that dogged Andy Bauer in high school has brought his collegiate career to a premature end.
Tuesday, Bauer participated in Missouri’ first practice of the spring. Shortly thereafter, the offensive lineman decided to step away from the game and retire from football.
Chafin and one other person were stopped on a highway just after 8:00 a.m., at which point it was discovered they were in possession of marijuana and marijuana candy that was purchased in Colorado during spring break. The traffic stop occurred in Oklahoma, where marijuana is not legal the way it is in Colorado.

According to multiple media outlets, placekicker Austin Hardin has decided to transfer out of Jim McElwain‘s program and continue his playing career elsewhere. The addition of JUCO transfer Eddy Pineiro in this year’s class likely sealed Hardin’s decision.
While there is nothing yet official from the school, Scout.com is reporting that Dorsey has decided to transfer out of the UF football program and continue his collegiate playing career somewhere other than with the Gators. A possible destination for the 6-2, 321-pound offensive lineman is at Tuskegee, a Div. II school in Alabama.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly announced Tuesday that the playing career ofDoug Randolph has come to an end. The rising redshirt junior has been diagnosed with a narrowing of the spine, a condition that precluded the defensive lineman from being medically cleared by school personnel and forced the premature end to his on-field career.
According to the website PittsburghPostgame.com, Schneider will continue his collegiate playing career at Pittsburgh after leaving UCF. No reason was given for Schneider’s decision to leave the Knights, although a logjam at his position would be a good place to start.
If/when the transfer comes to fruition, Schneider would very likely be forced to sit out the 2016 season to satisfy NCAA transfer bylaws. Beginning in 2017, Schneider would then have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
One day after it was reported that Pittsburgh would be picking up a quarterback transfer, it’s being reported that Reggie Green is no longer on Pitt’s roster and will be transferring out of the football program. No reason was given for Green’s decision to make his way off the team.
Down in Athens, meanwhile, running back A.J. Turman is no longer listed on Georgia’s official roster. The Athens Banner-Herald writes that Turman “was earlier listed with other players in the bios in the spring media guide.”
UGA subsequently confirmed that Turman has been given a release from his scholarship.

I was worried about taking their spring break from them,”Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said when asked during a radio interview about Harbaugh’s spring break move to the Sunshine State. “But I’m looking into it for next year and maybe the future, too. It’s creative. And if it’s good for the players, we’ll probably do it.”
“I wanted to set the precedent for the future that kids would not be able to go to Miami right away,” Smart told theAtlanta Journal-Constitution. “It’s very important that we understand that, and that’s pretty much standard operating procedure when a coach leaves one place, that a kid can’t go there with the coach. Clemson is adding two high school coaches to its football staff, according to multiple reports. The Atlanta Journal-Constitutionreports Clemson will add Mickey Conn of powerful Grayson High School in Georgia as a defensive quality control coach. The Rock Hill Herald and Football Scoop addKyle Richardson from Northwestern High School in South Carolina will also join the staff, but the role and title have not been reported. Clemson has not formally announced any coaching hires.
Conn was the high school head coach for a handful of Clemson Tigers includingWayne Gallman, Ryan Carter and Nick Schiessler. He is also the uncle of a current Clemson commit from Grayson, Chase Brice. What’s more, Conn is also a former teammate of Dabo Swinney when the two were at Alabama together.
