You have to earn the accolades unless your in the SEC. Nationally, the Huskers have done nothing but maintain the status quo for the last 5 years. They need to make some noise in the conference and on the national scene before they can garner anything close to the respect that the program had before Steve Cockinass hired Bill Nutsonhischin.

Nebraska has been a 3rd tier program at best for better than 10 years. They've played like 4th tier programs multiple times in the last few years.

I'm confident in saying last year (year 6) they actually took a step back.

I would say the problem is the program has no marquee wins in past 6 years in the Bo era. Plus the ass whipping they received in the B1G champ game really sticks with program for long time. That was "fugly"

We have plateaued as a program under Pelini. In the 6th year of a coaching staff that has done virtually nothing since happening to stumble upon some of the best defensive personnel in the programs history in 2010. And mind you in one of the bottom 3 AQ conferences. We have essentially become Iowa with a bigger stadium. Fans have diminished expectations as does the national media.

Earn love, don't expect it.

Espn hates nebraska just like they do ksu. I say fuck em if both teams want to be'talked about more 2 things must happen. First we have to land a shit load of espn top 300 recruits ( that would wake up espn a little ) Second both teams must win more ships peroid. Espn will not waste time talking about ksu 2 star recruits and the huskers 3 to 4 star recruits on the ksu side if we beat auburn the media will will spend more on'way'auburn lost I'm pretty sure when the'huskers totaly destroy the'hurricans the media will not give'husker credit they will pawn it off as well maimi just had a bad game trust me ksu destroyed maimi 2 years in a row and the'media stood silent but for ksu it was big wins

Did you see the ESPN coverage yesterday? He went on like 8 different shows and they ripped him on every single one. Questions about the program were an afterthought and they badgered him incessantly about his "sideline tirades", a fucking cat, the leaked tape, and his job security.

Our national perception is in complete shambles and it's worse this year than it ever has been.
