You have to create a chance for people women, men ,minorities ..

You don’t create a chance. A chance is created by need for a person to fulfill. There is no difference the job itself sees. You always take the best person…not the best black, white, male, or female.

Whatever.

Too many teachers in my family to hear that fucking bullshit.

Teachers are criminally underpaid. They have advanced degrees, have to constantly improve their practice, and are perpetually disrespected.

All you have to do is look around the country at the sheer lunacy of the bills being passed by state senates by idiots who dont know a fucking thing about classrooms to see the kind of shit these heroes have to deal with every day.
And I would agree...

Ideally you are correct, however, is that how things have been done in the country?

If so, why is this conversation taking place?

PEOPLE create their own chances by seizing the opportunity presented to them.
Correct but what happens as is historically and currently true, when the opportunity isn't open to all people?

Why is it that "no one likes him?" It seems as if no one really knows him!

Did I hurt your twat?

Teaching is a hard skill…maybe that is why our schools struggle. Maybe we don’t have enough good teachers…or maybe our students simply suck…maybe the parents suck.

It is quite difficult to wrangle children when you cannot hold them responsible for their actions and have to teach to the lowest common denominator. It is OK though because private schools are still doing quite well.

Some teachers are good teachers. Many suck.

All you have to do is look at the stupid things that people post, like "Those who can't teach" to get a sense of why we're in the position as a society that we're in.

I don't have the faintest idea what you do, but I assure you that there are an equal amount of crappy fry cooks as great fry cooks, just like there are in every profession.

schools struggle for lots of different reasons. One thing is for certain: people who don't know better passing virtue signaling bills to appease their base aren't a way to make either more teachers choose the profession or change the problem.

Private schools have the luxury of teaching whomever they want to teach. Not a solution either.

You're not very good at this.

Historically…no.

Now and recently…yes.

It is taking place now because idiots do not understand the word equity is different from opportunity.

Its incredible that there are still people in this world who think that currently everybody is given the same chances in life.

It’s as if those people are purposefully being as ignorant as they possibly can.

Dumbest fucking comment on the board.

Teaching well is among the hardest fucking skills on the planet.
I disagree. There aren't many people who can play in the MLB, NFL, or NBA. However, compared to that number, there are a LOT of people who are qualified to teach you how to do those things (whether you have the physical ability or not).
You have to create a chance for people women, men ,minorities ..
That is what the Rooney Rule already did--give them a chance by interviewing them and getting their name out there.

This new change FORCES teams to have a Designated Minority Offensive Assistant (regardless of what coaching position it actually is).
Ideally you are correct, however, is that how things have been done in the country?

I think It's an issue of comfort. Most folks agree that they're most comfortable around and amongst people like them. That's innate in who we are. White, black, yellow, red, etc. That's the truth. If you're gonna guarantee a man 20M bucks over 3 years that he can coach your team well, you had better be VERY comfortable with him. I think that just reinforces our innate need for people like us.

Disagree.

There are probably a lot of people who can play professional sports. They dont have the opportunities to show their skills.

American football, for example, has a very limited international player pool. You think there arent random gigantic German dudes, for example, who could get on the line and blow some folks up? Think again.

We know that its hard to be a good coach in the nfl by the fact that the same retreads keep getting jobs despite sucking moose dong in their previous coaching spot.

Teaching is an art and a science that is incredibly hard to do well.

Teachers are a needed part of our work force. They are not heroes.

The military, cops, firemen ... those are heroes. JMO.

Nobody believes everybody has the same chance. If there is a job opening in California, a person living nearby has a better chance. If you are born in the ghetto, you have less chance. It isn’t my responsibility to give you the same chance. It is not the government’s job to give you the same chance.

It is your responsibility to do everything in your power to be the best you.

Professional athletes need technique. It isn’t all about size and speed.

Teaching is not that difficult. There is a gift involved in it though.

Take a stand for yourself, no one else will. Ask why you are not afforded the opportunity. Present why you are worthy enough of the opportunity not afforded to you but only to certain people. Be part of the solution and not the problem.

Teachers are heroes, and just as important - if not more important to a competent society - than military cops or firemen.

You dont need an advanced degree to be a copy, in the military, or a fireman.

Every fucking asshole in the country doesnt try to pass laws to govern what you say, how you say it, and to whom you say it to for cops, firemen, and the military.

There is no more important job in the country than educating tomorrow’s leaders.

Every other country in the first world knows this already, which is why teaching in general and teachers in specific are revered in almost all first world countries except for here.

Sad, but true.

Teachers are heroes.

You have never taught before and thus havent the slightest clue. Teaching badly isnt that difficult. But neither is doing whatever it is you do badly.

Teaching well - teaching inspirationally - is brutally hard. Its just that gifted teachers make it look so easy that the dumbdumbs cant tell the difference.

Facts.

Actually I have. I was a military flight instructor and won awards for it. I have also coached sports teams and won in those.

Literally nothing you posted was a fact. Maybe you should have had better teachers.
