I'm really banking this whole thread on Alabama running the table.

Alabama wins out, stays at #1.

Ohio State will go 12-0 and lose to Michigan State.

FSU will find a way to lose before the season ends, maybe Florida.

Baylor loses at TCU and destroys Texas, finishes 11-1.

Stanford MIGHT lose next week.

Oregon should run the table now.

NIU and Fresno both win out.

So what happens if Alabama, NIU, and Fresno go unbeaten and everyone else drops a game? Do we still put in a 1 loss team?

Again, based solely on if Bama runs table.

We may lose this week, even though we shouldn't. But it's LSU, we can't ever just beat them. We always mess up against them when we have al the momentum and find a way to let them stay in the game. Or we get outplayed and outcoached. Really worried about our chances of a 3 peat this year.

NIU and Fresno won't sniff the title game. I'd put a 3 loss AQ champion in over either one of them personally.

The BCS will easily put a 1 loss AQ team in over them, maybe even a 2 loss team.

In that scenario Oregon will back its way into the NCG without even having to play for the CCG (but they'll play for it if Stanford loses another). 1 loss Oregon>Undefeated Northern Illinois or Fresno State.

Yeah but as has been pointed out earlier by 4d, Clemson has a better loss and a better win than Oregon. So if they win out and it's a battle of 1 loss teams, Clemson will be in before duckberg.

The op didn't account for all of the other 1 loss teams still on the outer limits of the title chase.

No because Oregon would play the Pac 12 CCG

If FSU loses, they have the head to head over Clemson and still play in the CCG

Extra game vs a most likely top 20 or 15 team will sling Oregon ahead.

Didnt read but Oregon in no way shape or form should be mentioned for a berth in a NCG.

Hoping like hell for USC to upset Stanford to get a shot at the 100th Rose Bowl trophy.
A sweet consolation indeed.

OK but doesnt FSU still have better wins than Oregon? I believe they do.

Oregon beat a #12 and a #16 on the road, FSU has beaten #3 on the road, #7 and #25.

If I had a vote, FSU would get it over Oregon if they both end with 1 loss. Neither plays another ranked team until the ccg.

Would be a good game. Not so sure BAMA would win it this year though. Last year for sure.

Nah, not this year man.

I got caught up in the NATTY hype. Just too many good teams in front of Oregon.

With that display tonight, the best Oregon can hope for is a RB bid. I would really love to get an invite to the Orange and play Clemson.

Just do not see FSU or Bama losing. They are the 2 best teams. ANd if one does, Ohio State isnt going to lose.

And for whatever reason two of the above lose Stanford and Baylor would have to lose.

Just have to hope Oregon can rebound and win out. Utah and OSU at home... ZOna on the road.

Yes, you put in a one loss team. Fresno and NIU have great QBs but simply don't have the talent to be top 10 or maybe even top 15 teams.

I think bama would win i dont think there is a power football team out there that can beat alabama. I think a spread team would have to beat bama.thats why im more nervous about the auburn game.

As of right now, Oregon will not play in the Pac12 CCG, Stanford would. Stanford would have to lose again before that would happen.

Stanford and Oregon are in the same division of the Pac12 and Stanford has the tiebreaker since they lost to Utah(South, other Pac12 Division).

Stanford is also ahead of Oregon in terms of 1 loss teams at this point, and would have to have a 2nd loss to open the door for Oregon. Not only because of the H2H, but Stanford also has an extremely more difficult schedule than Oregon.

So until Stanford gets a 2nd loss - and it has to be to a Pac12 team, Notre Dame doesn't count, Oregon's door is shut.

Both Clemson and FSU are likely in front of Oregon as well, with FSU obviously having the jump on Clemson. They might barely clip Clemson, but if it happens, I don't think it will be deserved.

2007. Ohio State was in the top 2 until week 11 then lost to Illinois. All hope lost.

They go on to beat Michigan and win the B1G... then, every other effing team ahead of them crapped the bed and OSU still ended up in the championship game despite the fact that they had no business being there.

There is still lots of football to be played.

I'm worried about the LSU game badly. They have the offense to torch us. And they have the defensive personel to contain us. Hoping we can just scrape by them at least.
