j_y as you know, I have NO faith in Dan doing the smart thing. Which is why if we get offered a mid third or high 4th, I think Kirk is gone.
That I would be upset with. At that price, he's worth keeping. A 3rd or 4th is no guarantee of filling a hole.
I won't be pissed if he doesn't fire mike, but I will be shocked. If he does keep him, he has got to give him an extension. No way do I want mike spending our cap money or picking our draft if he is only here for one more year. That would be a disaster.
IM going to suggest we all stock up on Advil and Tequila in the next three weeks, because I get the feeling these next two games are the calm before the storm. Because if Mike stays, some guys will be pissed. No matter who the coach is, some of us will not like it. And i go on record as saying IF Dan hires a GM, it will be a Vinny Yes Man type.
Dude - take a break. Go Christmas shopping, go to some parties or watch some other games. Things may not turn out great, but you have already made up your mind & appear to be upset about things that have not even happened. You also appear to put way too much faith in the media. Relax.
It won't be for what ever we can get, but if we can get a 2nd or more, he's gone. And I agree with that. I wish we had the luxury of having 2 young starting QBs on our team, but we don't. A second or greater should bring us a quality starter to fill one of the many holes we have. Moreover, Kirk will be gone in 2 years anyway. His contract will be up and he will go where he can start. Might as well get a starter now for him as opposed to see him ride the pine for the next 2 years and leave with no compensation.
Yes. x10. No way keep KC if we get offered a 2nd. Hell, you could pick up another quality QB in the 4th or 5th and hope to do it again.
I'm not keen on it either, but we just have way too many holes to have a starter sitting on the bench. Is it a risk? Absolutely. But when you are as devoid of talent as we are, you have to take some risks.
Actually no you dont. I say Kirk as a backup is more security than a 2nd round pick will give us. Unless its the Texans second round pick.. .then I would jump on it.
That's a very real possibility. Or Cleveland's which is still pretty good.
i dont know how a KC trade could be all but done when you have uncertainty at HC
if shanny is back then who knows ?
if i am a new coach and i see that RG3 isnt the franchise qb you people are certain he isnt then you keep KC .
Rg3 should be on the trading block in 2014 or 2015 (if you dont want to eat the cap hit )
if i think he is the franchise qb then i would still keep KC around because of the injury history history
you still have rex in the wings as well
but who knows ?
