I totally agree, unless somebody offers us something ridiculous for Kirk. Shanahan says he prefers competition at every position. Considering it's the most important position, I'd love to have RGIII looking over his shoulder and seeing a Kirk vying for his job(or vice/versa)

Love to see it happen, but I expect they will bring in a new coach and the first order of business will be to trade Cousins for what ever they can get.

It won't be for what ever we can get, but if we can get a 2nd or more, he's gone. And I agree with that. I wish we had the luxury of having 2 young starting QBs on our team, but we don't. A second or greater should bring us a quality starter to fill one of the many holes we have. Moreover, Kirk will be gone in 2 years anyway. His contract will be up and he will go where he can start. Might as well get a starter now for him as opposed to see him ride the pine for the next 2 years and leave with no compensation.

That I would be upset with. At that price, he's worth keeping. A 3rd or 4th is no guarantee of filling a hole.

IM going to suggest we all stock up on Advil and Tequila in the next three weeks, because I get the feeling these next two games are the calm before the storm. Because if Mike stays, some guys will be pissed. No matter who the coach is, some of us will not like it. And i go on record as saying IF Dan hires a GM, it will be a Vinny Yes Man type.

I won't be pissed if he doesn't fire mike, but I will be shocked. If he does keep him, he has got to give him an extension. No way do I want mike spending our cap money or picking our draft if he is only here for one more year. That would be a disaster.

Again - I don't want Shanahan back. However - I won't have a major problem if he stays if - & only if - he fires most of his asst coaches (which will obviously not include his son). I will have a major hard time watching this team if those clowns Haslett & Burns are still on the staff (while their apologists continue to blame their woes on players & other factors).

Oh Im good, really. And its not that I have faith in the media, I just have no faith in the person who will ultimately make these decisions. there is a difference.

If our "Franchise" QB is going to be the guy with a twice rebuilt knee who has a habit of taking off down the field, I would much rather have a young vet with some starts under his belt on the bench. Not to keen on the idea of giving up Kirk for a second and bringing in another Veteran QB. And Im hoping our 3rd QB can be some guy who we pick up in the 4th and stash on the taxi squad.

Actually no you dont. I say Kirk as a backup is more security than a 2nd round pick will give us. Unless its the Texans second round pick.. .then I would jump on it.

Yea, but the down side to that is, it means we need to find a reliable backup on the quick. Thats why i think in the end, its either a blow your sox off trade , or a we dont want the questions in DC kind of trade in which case we get a 3rd or 4th for him. Reality is I think Kirk getting traded is all but done. Its just a matter of what we get for him.

Dad its has nothing to do with what we think, and every thing to do with what Snyder thinks. And he likely thinks RG3 is a franchise QB. He also likely doesnt want to see another year of questioning IF RG3 starts off slow. KC will be traded provided we get any kind of offer. Only way I see this not happening is if Shanahan is still the coach.
