A lot of heat on NewsTalk 1010's Moore in the Morning following John's interview with Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke Tuesday morning.
Burke discussed the team's chances of making the playoffs, firing of his long time friend Ron Wilson as well as Don Cherry's recent rant on coaches corner. But it was Moore's final question that seemed to have gotten under Burke's skin.
Moore asked about how secure Burke felt in his job considering the team's poor performance as of late, something that he called a cheap shot.
"That's up to ownership when the GM gets changed but I wish you'd tell me that off the air before you were gonna take a little swing on the way out but I guess that's what people in your line of work do," says Burke
When Moore responded saying that he wasn't taking a swing but asking about the possibility that a general manager could be changed when a team isn't performing well, Burke's response was very defensive.
"I think it's an ignorant question and a gutless one too," says Burke before hanging up on Moore.
