Okay so the Leafs haven't made the playoffs in 7 years. The Panthers haven't made it in 10. The pressure in Toronto is obviously much greater. If the playoff drought in Toronto were to reach a decade how do you think Leafs fans will respond?

Jamal Mayers would like a word

Can you say the pressure is that much greater on the organization when fans continue to sell out the ACC, no matter how shitty the team is

continue to sell out every game, and buy jerseys with reckless abandon.

Mattola,

Easy now I was just kidding...touchy touchy

but honestly ... Leafs fans wouldnt riot over losing and missing the playoffs for over a decade

theyre too busy overhyping sub par goalies and glossing them with nicknames such as

MONSTER!!!

and

OPTIMUS REIM!!!

remember the last time the Leaf fans finally had enough and held some sort of protest?
About 20 people showed up. and the games continued to sell out.

I do enjoy the "Fire Wilson" chants though

you should do a little research they can do their own riots thanks for bringing that up though

That's not really a fair comparison Mattola and I suspect you know it. The G20 was pretty much done by Black Bloc (and possibly some agent provacateurs) who follow that shit around from country to country causing mayhem. And anyone else who was caught up in the rioting - the little there was - was at least rioting to defend their rights; as opposed to, "Whaaa, we lost a hockey game!". That said, I still would never paint all Vancouver fans (or any other fans, for that matter) with the same brush; what happened in Vancouver represents a very small minority.

yeah I know. but to post VAncouver for something toronto related is as pointless.

off topic point. I have a friend who is a high ranking RCMP officer and during the G20, the Olympics and the Stanley Cup Finals for Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary, and Edmonton or any major event like this the RCMP set up airport blocks for professional rioters from other cities, countries etc... These people are on lists that when they land at any airport they get sent back. its quite the network.

Everybody is looking for these ‘Moneyball’ breakthroughs. … I have yet to see anything that has value in terms of an alternative way of evaluating players.”

“This whole ‘Moneyball’ thing aggravates me anyway. … Nobody has ever won a championship with Moneyball,” Burke said.

Hmm… Didn’t the Red Sox use a huge amount of stat analysis? Didn’t the Dallas Mavericks?

Earl Weaver had a team of guys writing down stats from every newspaper starting in the 60s. He went over every single detail of every pitcher and every batter he was likely to face, and was planning for matchups in late game situations months in advance.

There is NO WAY on paper that the Orioles should have beat the Reds in 70. That carried on throughout the Orioles organization and in 1983 it was right there on paper that Rick Dempsey hit the SHIT out of Steve Carlton, and he turned the series around in one swing.

Stats work.

I apologize to Mattola and other Vancouver fans. My attempt at a joke was not well taken.

Sorry. I was just trying to be funny. I failed.

No need for apologies I shouldn't be so sensitive on it as I had nothing to do with it but it's my city and it does get me mad not that you did it but the whole riot itself thanks
