is Russell 100% off the air? never thought I would see the day that happened

his shows not dead ... he will be on CISL650 (talk about old guy radio - lol)... but his show wont be carried in other parts of BC like it was on the Corus radio network ... Scottys show takes over ... listeners can tune in online if they want to hear russell

changes... I rarely listen at night now anyway. if I remember correctly didnt Jim Hughson run Sports Talk for a while when Russell got a suspension or outright firing? i think thats the last time I did night radio

Russell went to team1040 and did the morning show and was a complete failure ... i think it lasted a month??? Don Taylor was doing a sports talk show on nw with Rick Dhaliwal while Russell was gone ... i dont even remember what year that was lol

I think the last time i listened to Russell was mid to late 90's when i worked at the casino ... liked him as a kid but during this time which coincided with the canucks dark/Messier years I stopped listening to him and following the canucks to be honest ... i was so apathetic to it all ... i was also doing alot of heavy drinking lol

Is this Michael Dunahee? | Vancity Buzz | Vancouver Blog

It has been 22 years since Michael Dunahee vanished from the school playground at Blanshard Elementary School in Victoria, B.C. on March 24, 1991. He was only 4 years old, and the case is still unsolved to this day.

In recent weeks, an online forum user that goes by the name “Canuckels” thought there was a possibility that he may be Michael Dunahee. He claims he was contacted by the Victoria Police Department and is now awaiting the results of a time intensive DNA test for a possible match.

Update from Victoria Police Department

Const. Mike Russell said, in a phone interview, police do not believe the man pictured above is Michael Dunahee. However, like every tip they receive, it will undergo a full investigation. They receive hundreds of tips each time they circulate Dunahee’s photo and will conduct a DNA analysis to rule the man out.

They have also posted the following on their Facebook Page:


VicPD Collecting Consent DNA To Rule Out Dunahee Tip

Victoria, BC – VicPD detectives are travelling to the mainland to collected consent DNA from a male who was been identified, through a tip, as possibly being Michael Dunahee. Despite the tip and our best hopes, it is our belief that this male most likely is not Michael.

We have been in contact with the Dunahee family and are collecting the DNA as part of our commitment to them and to Michael to exhaust no leads, no matter how small, until he is found.

Michael Dunahee’s disappearance initiated one of the biggest child abduction investigations ever investigated in Canadian history. It was a major news story for many years in both Canada and the United States, and to date over 11,000 tips have been received on his whereabouts.

To this day, there is still hope that he is alive and well.

I think as long as no single year is less than 50% of the average over the contract, you're fine. That last year at 2.5 just qualifies.
