The Preds have not qualified former Vancouver Giants defenseman Jonathan Blum...

Edit: He shoots right.

always the first thing canucks fans ask ... "does he shoot right?"

unfortunately: former Vancouver Giants defenseman so thats basically a non starter :L

@TSNBobMcKenzie: VAN's Keith Ballard is on conventional waivers. Not $100 unconditional waivers, which is necessary for buyout purposes.

Well

Looks like nonno A will fork over the buyout money to ballard

If he doesnt get claimed he will get put on unconditional waivers for the purpose of being boughtout

Also ... Gillis danced around whether he is confident luongo will be happy to come back to vancouver

Seems to be lots of talk that Shinkaruk didn't interview all that well and that's why his stock dropped on draft day. The kid can skate like the wind and has a good pair of mitts, methinks the Canucks got a good one.

As long as Shinkaruk didn't interview like David Booth, I'm okay with it.

I'm sure 210 or Steve Downie didn't interview all that well back in the day either and they both turned out to be servicable NHL'ers.

As long as the dratfee doesn't have a rap sheet, the interview shouldn't matter all that much.

The #Canucks did not qualify three RFAs by today's deadline: Derek Joslin, Prab Rai and Stefan Schneider.

DarrenDreger: Tortorella, Sullivan and Gulutzan will call the shots from the Canucks bench next season. Interesting, Torts added another assistant.
