Is it the Heat posturing or Aqulini not willing to cough up enough dough to break the lease? I think it's only a matter of time before the Canucks get their AHL team in Abbotsford. I wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks sign a short term lease and try again in a year's time.

posturing on all sides ... but it appears its too late to make a deal for next season

abby wants the canucks to pay out the remainder of the contract to the flames for them to leave town ... canucks want abby to pay the flames and give them a deal similar to what the flames got to bring the heat to town

i read a different article with the abby mayor quoted as saying "we want to make sure we dont sign the second worst deal in the history of the city of abbotsford" (deal with the flames being #1)

I forgot Lappy was UFA... so yes him as well.

AV will be gone and I think Aquillini will give Gillis one more season to fix what he messed up. I kinda hope Im wrong on that I would like fresh top to bottom in management except maybe Gillman (for CBA reasons) I just think Bieksa is more of a wish for me. Oft injured in the body and the mind is enough for me this season.
