not sure if this got posted. After he (and the canucks) declined a trade, AIK started benching him. Team in 8th place (final playoff spot) started shitting the bed ... AIK re-inserts Jensen back in the lineup and they make a charge for 8th but end up falling short.

Nicklas Jensen has improved every aspect of his game but didn’t expect to be a pawn in a chess game.

It was a form of flattery for the fast-tracking first-round Vancouver Canucks draft choice when his struggling Swedish Elite League club recently tried to trade the AIK winger’s rights at the deadline.

The Canucks didn’t like the idea because they want Jensen to join the Chicago Wolves as soon as possible to get reacclimated to the North American game and a deal to a playoff team would delay his European exit.

I think opposing teams know who the Canucks go to guy is. Maybe that has a little something to do with it. There's half the season to go. His numbers will get better.
