This team sucks. I think we've all been patient enough it's time to tell it like it is. Kraft chose Mayo to be HC and the Pats rebuilt the coaching staff I've seen enough to at least think Mayo can't get the job done. Way too many penalties, he publicly called the team weak, and he seem to lack any fire. I know the Kraft's won't him after one year, but I have seen nothing from him that makes me feel he is HC material.

Van Pelt is joke, it's as if his playbook was drawn up using black construction paper with purple crayons. No originality no plays to help spark the offense.

This O Line is as bad as I have seen and has to be the priority in the offseason. At very least we need and NFL caliber LT and an OC. Maybe with that and if Strange comes back they could be decent.

There are bright spots. Gonzo of course, Bouttee, Douglas, Stevenson, Maye a few others. The offseason experts will be screaming for NE to take a WR, I think that would be a mistake I feel the talent is there just need to develop it. They are going to kill Maye if they cannot protect him and if he refuses to slide. Tough is one think stupid is another.

IMO Offseason Priorities via FA and Draft.

1. LT
2. DT
3. OC
4. CB
5. Edge
6. S

The OL has actually improved over the last three weeks. Not saying that they are good, just improved.

Ben Brown has been a welcome solid player at Center
Layden Robinson has moved in at guard and has made rookie mistakes, but will be a stone in the OL foundation.
Mike Owenu has to be put in one position and play it. Not be flipped from one side to the other.
Demontry Jacobs has been satisfactory taking the LT position but is not the long term answer
Mike Jordan has been solid at LG, but not having a true, good LT beside him, hasn't allowed him to show whether or not he can take the position from Strange.

Can't depend on the guys on IR.

D. Andrews is in the twilight of his career
J. Andrews has been on IR since being drafted two years ago
Cole Strange is on PUP and has been out for the past year and a half.

The rest of OL is at best back up, PS or just tackling dummies

No question, Drake Maye is the future at QB

RB Has to be built up

WR is a joke. Douglas, Bourne and Boutte are the base and none are close to being #1, Maybe they can be #2 or #3.

The truth? This is a bad team. From the front office to the coaching staff, to the players.

Can/Will Kraft fir Mayo? Most likely, he's here for at least two more years. Unless the team shits the bed again next year. Kraft is in his 80's and you can see that he's not looking at all like he did just a couple of years ago. Might be time to hand the team over to his son and step back.

Johnathan, I believe, would end the carnage and hire Mike Vrabel and let him hire a completely new staff. No holdovers. I also believe that he he would fire Elliot Wolfe.

The Truth? The Patriots need an enema that would flush out everything from the corner office to the corner of the end zone.

The negatives are so top-to-bottom that, although it’s the easiest, blaming Mayo at this point may be unfair … it’s seems he inherited a crappy team and management … the OL has been a major problem since Jesus Brady was there … top that with the worst playbook in the league and Maye is gonna die a young man … Mayo is a stoic kinda personality, but you see him cringe on the sidelines … I think he’s compromising too much with his staff and has to kick ass there first if the Krafts will allow him …idk

I agree, he just seems to passive, as I said the dumb penalties and lack of fire fall to the coach.

… but I think a lot of that passivity is towards his staff … those errors begin at the assistant and coordinator levels …
don’t forget, he just took over this year from one of the greatest coaches of all time … I wonder how much crap is in the closets
but yeah, in the end, it’s all on him …

Very weird that you say this.

My wife just spent the past week in Chattanooga cleaning out closets for my brother. His wife passed in late July and he still can't bring himself to opening all of her closets, so it falls to my wife. She came home yesterday and told me that the closets were completely stuffed. She laughed and said that a Kleenex wouldn't fit in any of them.

You do have to wonder just how much crap that BB left behind that no one wants to deal with. My brother is trying to clean up a house with 25 years of memories. Mayo is dealing with a house that has 20 years of memories that are all stuffed behind 6 Lombardi Trophies. That he has to put his thoughts and actions out in public and display himself to a generation that knows nothing more than BB and TB12. That is a miserable position to be in.

That is damn sure part of the issue, and as he is a rookie coach we have to expect a learning curve, I get that. I damn sure don't like VanPelt as the OC.

Yeah my uncle had to clean out his entire house almost 2 years ago because of his wifes passing. it's incredible the amount of stuff you build up throughout the years.

That's what Kraft and Co should have completely cleaned house once Bill left

When my 2nd wife passed, I gave her extensive wardrobe to a women's shelter. Best decision I ever made.
Many of the women left the house naked and screaming. They really needed the clothes.
I bought my wife a very special dress that she never got to wear. I remember seeing it on a woman at Home Depot.
She looked like she had ahard life - but she had the most beautiful dress.....

Coaching has been a head scratcher. The only penalty I would put on them would be delay of game. Not getting a play in on time. I can’t blame coaching for a false start. Holding. Off sides. Pass interference etc. That falls on the player. These guys have played football at the top levels and should know better.

Offensive lineman have played their role from middle school until now. They’ve always been the big guys. Between practice and games… I’m willing to bet thousands of plays. They jump offside’s… they hold…. They know better. If they don’t understand to wait until the snap… that’s on them for being dumb

It's really not as simple as you make it sound. Jumping offside happens because players are tired, QB has them in a stance to long, defense tries to draw them off, QB Cadence changes etc. Holding a lot of the time is refs making a call they are allowed to hold inside the chest plate, refs make judgement calls. You act as if playing the game at this level is easy b/c they have been doing it a long time it's not and there is a ton of pressure especially in close games nearing the end of the game.
