That's not the point. Him being on the court automatically makes George and Russ better. They can't just ignore him. When George is on the bench and it's him and Russ running the court he will easily rip off 10-15 pt runs.

I think his rebounds and blks stay the same and will average 20-22 PPG.

The reality is that it is pretty close between Melo and DeRozan. I take DeRozan though. But, there is no reason to even discuss Melo unless we are talking about trios. George is leaps and bounds better than Melo because of the defensive side of the ball.

Take a look at the Warriors with 3 players averaging over 22.3 points.

There is no reason to believe Melo won't score 20ppg.

If the Thunder are truly going to maximize their potential, Melo should be their leading scorer. I doubt Russ lets that happen though. Melo is their most efficient scorer and Russ has always forced way too much.

If the Thunder are truly going to maximize their potential, Melo should be their leading scorer. I doubt Russ lets that happen though. Melo is their most efficient scorer and Russ has always forced way too much.

I think Carmelo spotting-up is the best role he can have on this team. Like he does for Team USA because yeah, he is their most efficient scorer.

Isolation ball-stopping is gonna sink them. Forget the Warriors. They're gonna get run out the gym to the Rockets and Spurs.

Russ being a primary scorer is going to stop them. They need him to be a facilitator.

For all the crap Melo gets, he is still one of the best scorers in the league. ISO ball won't make them good regardless of who is running it. All 3 players have to change their games if the Thunder want to be a legitimate threat to the Warriors.

I think they have too much talent not to be top 3 in the West, but if they don't figure out how to play off each other efficiently they will find trouble in the playoffs.
