It isn't often that Major League Baseball history is made during spring training in a routine Grapefruit League game.

However, Monday's game between the Phillies and Twins is believed to be the first time in baseball history, according to the Baseball Hall of Fame, that both teams' managers are members of the Hall of Fame.

While there are Hall of Famers who have managed, perhaps most notably Frank Robinson, the Phillies' Ryne Sandberg and the Twins' Paul Molitor are two of only three managers – joining Ted Williams – to make their managerial debut after already being elected to the Hall of Fame.

Molitor and Sandberg, elected to the Hall of Fame in 2004 and 2005, respectively, faced off in opposing dugouts during the Phillies' 3-0 win at Bright House Field.

"The fact that it's never happened before is kind of an interesting little piece of trivia, but for me it's more about managing against a friend," Molitor said. "We all know it's about the players ... but it kind of makes it unique."

Ninety-three of the 215 Hall of Fame ballplayers have been managers, but most were player-managers in the late 1880s through the 1940s. There have only been three Hall of Famers who started their managerial careers within the last 35 years: Tony Perez, Sandberg and Molitor.

Don't really remember him from cBS but no worries. If he behaves himself, all will be well. If he is going to be a dick, I am sure there will be consequences.

That said, where the fuck is everybody??
