Coach Fischer said, "To his credit, there have probably been some balls that probably haven't been the greatest or easiest to catch," Fisher said. "But still, at the end of the day, our job is to catch the ball wherever it's thrown."

Fuck that shit. I would have killed to have a QB throwing me that accurate of a pass when I was playing WR in high school, dammit.

When a ball hits both of your hands, it should be a catch. That is my rule on that. Now, will you catch all of them? No, probably not.........if a ball is 1 foot behind you, you might mis-judge it every now and then........but for shit sake, there are no excuses if it hits your hands.

A WR is out there for a reason, because he has the best hands on the team. It takes focus, it takes leadership, and it takes the "want to" as Pelini often refers to.....

I better see Kinnie catching passes soon! I'm not sympathizing for the fact that he isn't wide open running down field with balls dropping right in his hands perfectly in stride!

Damn, excuses piss me off! Now where did I put my beer....

I'm sorry, but so far our "blocking" TE has better hands than Kinnie. If he could just get there he has the physical tools to be an outstanding possession receiver. And the personality and the media skills to be a superstar.

I disagree with Fish and HH here..

3 passes he dropped last week were right on the mark, and hit both his hands....

HH, :L

I've watched this team who calls themselves the Oklahoma State Cowboys, and they have a guy named Justin Blackmon who catches passes that are WAYYYYY off the mark..........far more off the mark than the passes that Kinnie has dropped this year.

Now, with that said.........I was drunk and angry when I made that plorst. That was a :L on my part. I do not sympathize for Kinnie's dropped passes, but I shouldn't have ranted about it like he is some professional athlete or somethin. That is my bad.

Kinnie is a father with a lot on his plate with school and football as well. I had some relatively high expectations for him this year that have fallen quite a bit.

Whether it be he or someone else, Nebraska needs someone to step up in that position if they're going play in the B1G title game. It would also help if the rcvrs could be hit on the run once in a while as opposed to having to stop and go up for the jump ball. I just hope the running game can get to the next level where they can get 3-4 yds a play between big plays. If they can do that the passing game won't be so important and will become it's own big play.

I agree someone needs to step up, there is no doubt about that.

Now, the question is, will teams continue to load the box like Fresno was doing? Basically our only way out of that was to launch those floaters down field to force their defense to loosen up a bit.

P.S. I didn't even know Kinnie had a kid

Someone down the depth chart would love to get the chance to catch some of those balls!

Yes, he has like a 3-4 year old son. As a father I can tell you it takes a lot of commitment to be there for your kid while you're trying to better yourself at the same time.

Hats off to Kinnie, now catch the damn ball!!!

A good wide reciever makes a qb look great, does anyone remember the MNF game when Favres dad had passed away. His recievers were puttin it on the line to catch his passes.

JJM is right if it hits you in the hands you had better be for catchin it. That being said I played line and had terrible hands.
