Meh, somebody's gonna be disappointed when they overpay for this dirty cheapshot artist whose best days are clearly behind him.

Doan has always been a tough guy to play against. In the last couple of years he's turned dirty as Dash said.

IMO, it's because he's lost a step and all too frequently is frustrated that he can't get to hits that he used to.

imo, i dont think he's lost a step ... i think he's he throwing half-hearted hits in his old age that he's not truly committed but are still coming from his hockey instincts ... he's not hitting guys hard and flush and thats bad

Kings series showed me he still has the legs

BUT

the hands??? not sure ... I think they are going and going fast ... reminds me of Trevor Linden (only Lindens skills diminished at a much younger age)

how many times did tsn iso Shane Doan at the bench shaking his head or staring into space after missing a glorious opportunity that went wide on Quick

Gillis was supposedly trying to get him last year but the coyotes never went away in terms of the playoff chase so Maloney was committing to a trade

Flames acquire Dennis Wideman from Caps and then sign him to a 5-year, $26.25 million contract. That's an AAV of $5.25 million.

It seems high to me, but it's a statement to teh other UFAs that Calgary will pay handsomely.

no kidding. what timing for him.

As much as I thought Timmy might hurt his growth, he definitely helped his wallet. Not a bad trade-off and Boston has their starter for the next few years.
