LSU reinstates three players, including QB Anthony Jennings | CollegeFootballTalk
LSU has reinstated three players just days before fall practices are scheduled to open in Baton Rouge. Quarterback Anthony Jennings, defensive lineman Maquedius Bain and defensive back Dwayne Thomaswill all be available to practice after beingindefinitely suspended from the program.

LSU head coach Les Miles made the decision Friday afternoon with the indication the three players will undergo further in-house discipline. All three were suspended in response to an incident involving alleged unauthorized entry of an inhabited building. The alleged victim in that incident has since asked for the charges against the LSU football players to be dropped. That is exactly what has happened, allowing the door for Miles to welcome back all three, which he suspected might be the case.

No formal charges were filed against the three LSU players.

If you thought Auburns new scoreboard was impressive before | CollegeFootballTalk
The largest video scoreboard in the nation could be even more impressive from behind. While nothing is officially planned just yet, the construction of the new video scoreboard at Auburn has some envisioning even more video goodness to be enjoyed in the years to come. This time the video entertainment could be for the benefit of fans outside Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“In the future what we may end up doing is we may end up putting LED video boards back there so it’s not static signage,” Auburn athletic directorJay Jacobs said in a story published by Al.com. “So that we can do things like ‘Graduation today at a certain time’ or ‘congratulations to professor Smith for winning the Leischuck award,’ things like that because it’s such a big board and massive space. I didn’t want it just to be solid, I want it to be something that we can actually utilize.”

Ole Miss OL Laremy Tunsil and stepfather agree to drop charges against each other | CollegeFootballTalk
Per the information in the report out of Oxford, Mississippi, lawyers for both have mutually agreed to have their clients sign a dismissal from earlier this week, thereby requesting to a local judge to review and drop the charges previously filed. Tunsil reportedly punched his stepfather in defense of his mother. Tunsil’s stepfather, Lindsey Miller, claimed tensions rose when an argument over Tunsil’s connection to sports agents flared up. The NCAA has since opened an investigation into Tunsil’s alleged connection to agents.

SMU adds former Gamecock to defensive line | CollegeFootballTalk
Deon Green has formally been added to the roster at SMU, as evidenced by his inclusion on the team’s official roster Monday. Green missed out on playing in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons due to a knee injury that required surgery and a good amount of rehab work. He appeared in just two games in 2013 and recorded just four tackles for the Gamecocks last fall. He made the decision to transfer in January and was one of many South Carolina players to do so.

4-star-signee-turned-MLBer-turned-walk-on appears done at Miss. St. | CollegeFootballTalk
It seems as if Rashun Dixon‘s long, lengthy journey from touted football prospect to drafted baseball prospect to football hopeful yet again in Starkville has come to an unofficial end.

Mississippi State players reported for summer campover the weekend and commenced practice in earnest for the 2015 season Monday. One of those not present was the sophomore tight end Dixon, whose name is not a part of MSU’s online roster.

On his Twitter account late last month, Dixon indicated that he was back on the Left Coast.

Canes very interested in ex-Gator Jay-nard Bostwick | CollegeFootballTalk
Jay-Nard Bostwick may have left Florida, but it seems likely he won’t be leaving the state to continue his collegiate career.

In an interview with the Palm Beach Post, Bostwick’s father confirmed that Miami is very interested in his son as a transfer and that the interest is being reciprocated. However, he cautioned that nothing is set in stone as of yet.

“Nothing’s confirmed. It’s still up in the air,” Bernard Bostwick told the Post. “But we have been in contact with Miami. They’re very interested.”

The paper goes on to write that “[t]he only holdup, the elder Bostwick said, is that UM trying to determine if it can offer a similar scholarship to the one he received at UF.” The Bostwicks expect an answer from UM by the end of the week.

In addition to The U, Auburn is said to be interested in Bostwick. The defensive tackle, though, prefers to stay in his home state of Florida.

Bo Scarbrough suspended for Alabamas first four games | CollegeFootballTalk
A knee injury could very well sideline Bo Scarbrough for the first portion of the 2015 season. If the injury doesn’t do it, though, his head coach will.

In addressing the media Thursday evening,Nick Saban revealed that Scarbrough will be suspended for the first four games of the upcoming season. The only reason given by Saban for the suspension is that it’s an “NCAA thing.”

Scarbrough sustained a significant knee injury during an April spring practice scrimmage and underwent surgery a short time later. He is currently participating in summer camp with his Tide teammates, and is officially ahead of schedule in his rehab, although he’s one of those in non-contact mode.

LSU losing an offensive lineman to transfer | CollegeFootballTalk
The university has confirmed that Jonah Austin (pictured, No. 71) has decided to take his leave of the football program and transfer to an undetermined location. No reason for the decision to leave was given, although a search for a better opportunity at playing time would be a good place to start.

If Austin were to end up at another FBS institution, he’d be eligible to play in 2015 as a graduate transfer.
