Once the SEC starts eating its own by holding satellite camps in other SEC schools' territories, the fur will really fly. This will be a very interesting process to watch play out.
The Denver Post is reporting that Parsons has received a waiver from the NCAA that will allow him to play immediately in 2015 instead of sitting out the standard transfer year. The reason why the waiver was granted to the Colorado native wasn’t detailed by the Post.
Parsons, who announced his transfer from Vanderbilt in December, will now have three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2015.
A four-star member of James Franklin‘s last Vandy recruiting class in 2013, Parsons was rated as the No. 7 tight end in the country; the No. 2 player at any position in the state of Colorado; and the No. 211 player overall according to Rivals.com.
All systems are a go for Missouri defensive tackleTerry Beckner Jr. Beckner Jr., one of the top recruits in Missouri’s Class of 2015, has been cleared by the NCAA to be eligible to play this fall.
Beckner Jr. committed to Missouri on signing day, but coaches admitted he still had some work to do in order to become eligible to be a part of the program by the fall. That typically means there are some academic concerns in need of addressing, but Gabe DeArmondof PowerMizzou.com reported Tuesday (via Twitter) Beckner has been cleared to play this fall. That is typically a positive sign with regard to academic concerns for any player or recruit.
As noted by The Columbia Daily Tribune, Missouri is set to begin summer sessions on Monday, and Beckner is registered in the campus directory.
Texas A&M doesn’t need help at running back. Not with Tra Carson and Trey Williams returning and freshman phenom Kyler Murray likely to help carry the load in the running game.
The Aggies do need help defending the pass. Texas A&M ranked 66th or lower nationally in pass efficiency defense, yards per attempt allowed and passing defense in 2014. And with leading tacklers Howard Matthews and Deshazor Everett graduating, it’s an all-hands-on-deck type of season in the A&M defensive backfield.
So with that in mind, Texas A&M has moved running back Brandon Williams to cornerback.
What is amazing about these predictions is that Athlon s predicting 13 SEC teams will go bowling this season. Last year, the SEC had an extraordinary out-of-conference record (until the bowl season, of course) and still only managed 12 bowl teams. So if they can pull this off, I will be impressed!College Football Schedules, Scores, News, Predictions, and Rankings | AthlonSports.com

Georgia has added a quarterback this week, but they’ve now lost one of his personal protectors. The program announced Friday that redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Josh Cardiello is leaving in search of more playing time at FCS Chattanooga.
The common narrative that the SEC separates itself from other conferences on the strength of its defensive line is true.
Sure, there’s a difference between physical talent and on-field production. And in some cases, the high school recruiting sites misjudge talent. But recruiting rankings are an objective place to start when evaluating and comparing talent levels across a position.
Within that framework, 17 different five-star defensive linemen call the SEC home. Another 73 four-star defensive linemen play in the conference.
Here’s a team-by-team breakdown of the scholarship defensive linemen in the SEC. Star ratings listed below are based on the 247Sports composite rankings.
Well, not a real big loss, but wish him the best wherever he ends up.
