Everything Odor learned at ST going opposite field looks like it went out the window. Has a huge bat which is tough to control IMO
It wasn't just ST of this year that he has learned that. He learns it every few months and forgets it as quickly as he learned it. Happens every time it seems. He forgot it some time last August as well.

Chris Woodward really seemed to be a fan of Matt Davidson when he was sent down in ST. Matt started off the year very slow. I guess that can be chalked up to him making the learned adjustments that had Woodward so excited for him. Now he appears to be heating up. In his last 20 AB he is hitting .350 with 5 HR.
"He's close to being a very, very good big league hitter," manager Chris Woodward said. "He's close to being an elite guy. And I'd love for him to get more consistent at-bats, but if he started on the team, they wouldn't be there. I don't want his arm to get in the way of that. I don't think his future is nearly as bright as a pitcher as it is as a hitter. I would not be surprised in three or four years if he is one of the top right-handed hitters in the league."

Is Rougned Odor the current day Hank Blalock?

Surprised that Kelley is not in the closer role until LeClerc gets it going.

I love Jamey's insight and compassion, but he would never remind folks of a trade that failed. That being the case, him doing the opposite seems somewhat immature for someone getting paid to write.

Don't you think the trade was a good trade?

He was going oppo ST. He never did that as a deliberate approach

I didn't like the trade when it happened, but I could have been wrong. It is way too early to even use hindsight to judge the trade though. That is what makes Jamey appear somewhat juvenile. My comments weren't about the trade as much as they were about Jamey's comments.

I’ve noticed that he swings at ball 4...... a lot.

Way too aggressive still.

I’d tell Odor that yeah...... your average sucks, but you need to walk some when pitchers throw you bad pitches. If you continue to get yourself out, you’ll hardly ever see good pitches to hit.
I have not seen him since he came back from the injury other than his last 2 ABs. I actually thought he had a good eye at the plate but he just is not making contact. The strike 3 passed ball was a strike and not sure why the catcher did not catch that one. It also seemed Odor did not run to 1st like I normally have seen him do. Makes me wonder if he is 100%.

The point is he makes some adjustments and then just as quickly forgets why he did what he did.

Honestly, I don't remember what adjustment he made last year.

He appears to have a certain approach to hitting that he likes and he always seems to revert to that style or approach.

Unless the guys we got fall off the map it does exactly what you think it should do in this sell sell environment

Big Profar fan but real bad timing

He is a slugger but needs to become a hitter
