Arguably my favorite pitcher in franchise history. Between him and Colby Lewis. And yes, he was massively underappreciated while he was here.

Curtis Terry, DH, Triple-A Round Rock (Rangers) — At this point an early season breakout has turned into something a little larger than that. Terry hit his 12th home run of the season yesterday and also drew two walks. He now is tied for third in the Triple-A West in home runs. Terry is now hitting .315/.388/.629. For a hitter who had less than 70 games above Low A before this season (and none above High A) it’s quite the start.

Why do we play well or beat better teams and get swept or beaten by bottom feeders? So many games have been lost by one or two runs. Seems we are close to something and then Boom we disappear. Last night we had runners on base when the HR's came. That doesn't happen often and likely won't continue.

Tyler Phillips and Hans Crouse both pitch tonight. It would be good to have both of them look really good. They both have a legitimate shot at being in a meaningful rotation for us in a year or two and going forward.

He reminds me a bit of Davis Wendzel, who the Rangers took in the supplemental first round in 2019, a guy who doesn’t necessarily project for a ton of power but whose approach, hit tool and potential defensive versatility make him attractive."
