Who really runs the Phillies? Not long ago it was rumored that Middleton was going to take a more active roll.
Nothing has been heard from him. Montgomery is ill and has been shuffled around. What does Gilick do every day? Amaro is completely incompetent and confused on a daily basis. Not one of these fat and rich cats ever has anything to say or offer to the fans who pay them. Will MacPhail be a figurehead instead of a take charge guy? How long can they shut out the fans before their is a rebellion. This organization is secretive
for a reason. Maybe they just don't know what to do! I can imagine that they have their coffee and breakfast each morning while reading the sports page. Then they go to the gym and ride the bikes before their sauna.
Then comes a nice lunch followed by a nap. They check their phones to see if any scouts called with a report.
They get prepped for a nice dinner and afterward decide to see a Philies game or at least a minor league game. Somewhere in between all this they check their bank balance. Last but not least: Gillick only had 6 words to say at the press room after Ryno stepped down. Every thing is run in a manner similar to politics.
I want these guys to step up to the pump and cut out the crap! Tell us the TRUTH!

Not going to happen Northeast. Since the TV contract got signed, the schedule and daily itinerary you suggested is closer to reality than most fans care to acknowledge. This lassiez-faire attitude is fostered by the fact that the ownership, FO, management staff, and the players are getting paid and that is all that matters. Nobody gives a rip, there is no direction or plan for winning, either short-term or in the future, and everything is just clippin' along. It is obvious that nobody is going to go out of their way to develop this club with any direct goals or future plans. The interim manager Mackanin is about as excited as a slug in the winter time. This team is a complete joke and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

These actions sum up the incompetence: 2011, Amaro sends Singleton, Cosart, Josh Zeid, Domingo Santana — to Houston for Pence then 2012 trades Pence to SF for slugs Nate Schierholtz, Seth Rosin and Tommy Joseph. Duh!

On Friday, 6/26/15. Singleton was recalled by HOU - AAA, 70 games, .280/.387/.553, 17 HR, 17 2b, 66 RBI, 47 BB, 63 K. A possible Big Piece for HOU.

You must realize that Amaro was trying to buy a winning season at that point. In fact buying gave Amaro a rush.
Singleton and Santana are better players than Dom Brown in my opinion. One has to wonder why Amaro or the scouts closed their eyes to the horrible defensive skills that Brown demonstrated.

We got crap for Lee as well. None of those prospects panned out. Amaro is lousy with the dice rolls.
