Hate to admit when LAS makes a correct point , but man enough to acknowledge. Was listening to Bruce Boudreaux on SXM regarding head coaches being hired in and what happens with assistant coaches. In his experience, head coaches usually get to bring in one guy. GM’s typically dictate remaining staff, including hires / fires during coaching term. Get this - the only GM that gave him free rein (within reason) was What The F&$k Chuck while in Minnesota.

I think he's my number 1 now that it seems like he may be available in the Flyers range. Him or Yakemchuk. Seems like the Flyers are kind of expecting a dman to be the play this year, C next year though.

Nice to see this story out there like this as all you hear about is the 10 players out of thousands he's coached that dont like Torts. Very seldom does an article get printed from players who do like him as a coach. I guess drama gets more clicks.
