New team head shots for Stanford. NerdNation is becoming a true brand for the university.

I have NEVER been able to hate these Stanford kids/fans even tho they continue to beat the crappers out of EVERYONE in the Pac12. They are smart, good athletes and field a good team year after year. I have tried for 40 years to find ANYTHING wrong with the Cardinals, I can't. Thank gawd they reside in the Pac12, hellva representative and school...cheers to them as always.

Everything says give em some hate, but I can't...why is that?

Yes indeed Mr. Wallace. It seems to work so far. This makes 4 consecutive classes with at least 2 4* O-line. Stanford already has a commit from the #2 center in the country, and he is a pulling center at that.

PAC coaches have been loading up on the Oline beef early this year. Smart move.

The Josh Shirley situation is extremely odd. I think this is a pretty big loss for the Huskies, I really expected him to have a breakout year, he has a ton of natural talent and could have a future in the NFL.

Would be even weirder for him to go back to UCLA considering that they kicked him off the team before he came to Seattle.

Would be a great addition for UCLA but would be really weird. From what I understand transferring anywhere in the PAC would require sitting out a year even though he is eligible to play through the NCAA. It's a conference rule. Word is he is appealing this.I think it's a stupid rule but unless he has a good reason for transferring he shouldn't be granted the appeal. Either get rid of the rule or enforce it.

Man, our neighbors have outdone themselves this year. They normally get at least a couple of grand worth of fireworks. This year the show was spectacular. We only end up picking up a couple of hundred worth since we get to watch their display. There were around 30 people between our three houses maybe more. Music, the food was crazy, and the show was off the hook. Still going on actually, but the big stuff I think is mostly over.

Hope the rest of you had a good night as well. Always a great day up here for the 4th.

Good friends of our live over in the Barrio. Night the nicest area but they really know how to celebrate the fourth. Tons of fireworks none of them legal in California, shut down the street all day for an all day block party. Good times.

ASU kind of has to. They were trying to be patient the last few classes, but they haven't been able to keep any of the high, high end OL recruits home (or eligible) barring transfer back. If they'd kept even half of them, they'd be able to continue being picky, but now it's getting to be a pretty big need.

Still hoping they get Keenan Walker off Arizona. If Arizona sucks or something, it'll probably happen, but another light schedule 7-5 plus AdvoCare V100 win will probably continue to convince some people that Rodriguez is the answer- Which is likely. Arizona's OOC is almost an automatic 3-0, and they've got Cal right off of that with another functional freebie against Colorado, so they've really only got to scrape up 2 or 3 wins against the more competitive teams to wave their "We're coming up" flag some more.

Might as well call this a block party. Just about all of us on the street are outside.

The fireworks laws here are city by city and we live in an unincorporated part of the county. Pretty sure some of our stuff isn't legal, but 3 cops live within a block of us and light off some of the worst stuff. The police have way more on their plate than to go around stopping fireworks out here.

Hell, there were 3 firemen at the party on our block so we were all in good shape.

I feel bad for the folks that live in a strict area with no fireworks at all. My daughter had a friend over for our party that came from a part of califonia with no fireworks. It was the first time in her life she saw a show like this and just had a blast getting to light off even just fountains, more or less roman candles and the other stuff we let her do.

A day after the 4th and REALITY has set back in. Probably a good thing the Pac went with a neutral CCG site. With USC weaning off of NCAA sanctions, I fear the CCG would have never left the LA area again.

Spent some time reading about Sark's 2015 recruit ranking class and it's already getting scary for the rest of the Pac12, let alone the country.

Happy Days are a coming in the Coliseum again soon enough.

what is with your fascination fear of USC? Steve Sarkisian is there head coach. They literally took no steps forward from Lane Kiffin.

It's like knowing a storms coming and the climate satellite confirms the in-coming storms position. Those that don't see it or deny the eventually truth will act like deer caught in headlights at night when the day arrives.

I don't sleep well because of this impending apocalyptic dream I have OD. Do you? :gaah:
