how do you figure?
True, you haven't won the North in a couple of years. I guess I was just being nice. Maybe you have no more seasons left.
how do you figure?
Last year is pretty recent. I know how we did. How'd you do?
won 11 games.
no lie. you guys literally took no step forward or backward with the hire. You got a Kiffin remake.
If you watch USC in the first game and they don't throw 20 bubble screens then you are wrong.
Kiffin did love that bubble screen.
IF that's the case TF, expect Bama to throw a ton of em with their "new" incoming QB as well.
really? and how many south titles do you have?
1 which happens to be the same number of North titles that Oregon has. Won it the same year that Oregon won their only North title and we beat you at Autzen that year too.
Actually Oregon has 3 division titles. 1 outright and 2 cochamps with Stanford. same conference record. Stanford head to head wins the tiebreaker and goes to title game.
Why? Is Coach Pete putting on a jockstrap and a helmet on Sats now? Unproven commodity at the Pac level.
It sure won't be Oregon. You guys can't even win the North anymore.
Oh, it's likely Petersen will have UW on top in the North in about 3 years, but USC will likely be back on top of the PAC by next year.
We pulled in the top recruiting class in the PAC this past season with only 19. We're already looking like it'll be even better for 2015 and we get our full schollies back beginning in 2015.
Petersen > Sark as a coach.
USC > UW in recruiting.
The question is which has more impact and over what period of time.
Building through recruiting takes several years. There are many teams with great talent that under produce because of coaching and teams with middle talent that thrive under a particular coach or scheme.
OcD (The name now fits again) is delusional and that's nothing new. Helf is still an unproven HC, Sark still hasn't matured as a HC, USC is still a few cycles away from having the depth and quality they used to, Petersen still has to get his system installed and a team built around it, and all of it will play itself out on Saturdays next fall. This is why we all watch and follow it.
All of this is true, but USC won't reach it's full potential until it has 85 AND 25 solid seniors with a good mix of experience around the rest of it. That won't happen in just the first year of reaching your full class.
Aren't all classes capped at 25 in any season regardless of how many they have left on the 85 total? If so then it will take a few years to reach that upper limit and even if not your extras coming in will still be freshmen with less seniors than most of the rest of the conference. That means dominating due to talent and experience is still at least a couple of years away and might not be fully met until 3 full seasons from now.
my bad anyway oregon and stanford tied 3 years. so its 3 cochampionships.
what does the trophy look like for USC ineligible for title look like?
