UW would have a few decent RB's as well. I know most of the conf wants to forget Napoleon Kaufman. Chris Polk and Greg Lewis were beasts, but the tops had to be Corey Dillon. He was just unbelievable.

Bishop Sankey deserves credit too.

Corey Dillon. That is a name I would love to forget. I believe it was 1996. My 3rd year of season tix. He went off @ Oregon @ Autzen. Shortly before or after Skip Hicks from UCLA matched him.

No doubt, but kind of too recent? :noidea:

From wikipedia -

At the University of Washington in Seattle, he was known for utilizing a very aggressive and punishing style of running. Dillon set the team all-time single-season records for rushing yards (1,695 yards) and touchdowns scored (24) in 1996. In the first quarter against San Jose State in mid-November, Dillon rushed for 222 yards and caught an 83-yard touchdown pass, setting NCAA records for both rushing yards and all-purpose yards (305) in one quarter.[1] Dillon did not re-enter the game as the Huskies were comfortably ahead 25–0 by the end of the first quarter on a cold and rainy afternoon. The Dawgs led 43–3 at the half and won 53–10.[1]

This is why he tops my list. Dillon was simply unstoppable. As much as Kaufman's legacy is cemented and for good reason, Dillon was a 1 and done but still tops my list. He came in as a JC transfer and after destroying the Pac for one year went off and tore up the NFL on a shitty team.

Nap would get my favorite RB status, but Dillon my vote for tops in school. At least in the modern era.

If you want to add all time you simply cannot forget about Hugh McElhenny, the NFL HOF running back. 14 years in the league and was dominating in his era at UW.

Oregon State has run over the Pac with their RBs....since the turn of the century. I can count 4 of em. 2 are still running the rwak in the NFL today. One of who was past up as trash by all the Texas schools...idiots.

I don't think it qualifies as too recent if they're no longer at the school.

Once Mariota graduates I think he could be the best Oregon QB of all time. At this point, I'd say that he has more talent than any other QB the Ducks have had.

Congrats Wiz, hopefully I can catch up to you.

There may only be 10,000 posts, but I'm certain that you hold the record for most words per post with those over 1,000 total posts. :suds:

I meant in terms of knowing what kind of pro career they had on top of it.

Colorado has had its struggles with recruiting the past couple seasons, but it's a major get for them with landing 4 star OG Tim Lynott (Aurora,CO). He's one of the top recruits from the state of Colorado this year and solid local get by Mike MacIntyre. He had offers from PAC schools ASU, UCLA, Oregon, OSU, and WSU.

UCLA's Greatest Running Back

I'd probably go with Gaston Green.

Honorable mentions

  • Freeman McNeil
  • DeShaun Foster
  • Maurice Jones-Drew
  • Karim Abdul-Jabbar
