If I stick with players I saw play, I would say Jason Palumbis @ Stanford was god awful in my time there. He was replaced by my fraternity brother Steve Stenstrom during our Sophomore year. The wins Palumbis had were a result of Denny Green preaching D and an ungodly huge O-line.

I was hoping you'd go for Jake Plummer and 95 Seconds away from ASU's only MNC. When Jake scored I thought he'd done it.

It was close, but Danny White went 33-4 at ASU as a starter versus 1 really good season.

That would be tough.

USC has to choose murderer or Bush.

Both were pretty awesome backs though.

My first inclination for Oregon is of course LMJ but is want to dig into it more. Had some good college backs through the years.

Marcus Allen, Charles White, Ricky Bell, Frank Gifford and Jon Arnett (among others) all say Hi!!

How bout your programs worst QB?

For Oregon I vote Norv Turner.

:L

Dad and uncles tell me he was atrocious.

Danny Sullivan and Chad Christiansen come immediately to mind, but there's no animosity towards them or anything. Respect if anything for going out there for several weeks straight with everyone knowing they weren't so good, but that the team was out of options.

ASU RB would probably be Woody Green, but I could see an argument for Gerald Riggs if you were looking at pro stuff too.

Anthony Davis would be in that USC discussion, too.

But for real, the answer is OJ, as shitty as that is.

I might buy Marcus Allen.

No way others are better than OJ or Bush

Clearly you haven't seen Charles White or for that matter Mike Garrett, Anthony Davis, Frank Gifford or Jon Arnett play.

It would be virtually impossible to pick the best running back in USC history. There are too many that all have solid arguments.

As I said in my previous post, it's pretty much impossible to pick one. If put on the spot, I'd go with Marcus Allen. In fact, I'd have O.J. 3rd after Marcus Allen and Ricky Bell.

It is an enviable problem.

And you don't want to mention Charles White, the man who had caused more damage to ND than any other living Trojan…. Domers all over the world have nightmares of Charles White...:laugh3:

It doesn't suck (unless you're trying to rank them).

Oregon is quickly running into the same problem re: QB's.

Naw Dixon is the Only Oregon QB who could have taken them to USC status

UW would have a few decent RB's as well. I know most of the conf wants to forget Napoleon Kaufman. Chris Polk and Greg Lewis were beasts, but the tops had to be Corey Dillon. He was just unbelievable.

Stanford RB's? I will stick 70's and forward, Darrin Nelson, Glynn Milburn, Touch Down Tommy Vardell, Toby Gerhart, Stephan "Kulabafi" Taylor, and simply for the carries he had against the ducks last year, Tyler Gaffney. TD Tommy is another brother of mine, and his performance in 1990 against the domers (aka university of fake dead girlfriends) alone makes him stand out to me. Fuck I hate the freaking whining whyrish.
