Yes, I have been to games at Resser and Martin Stadium, Mamba. And I agree that out West the interest in football just isn't the same. Hell, I originally come from what I consider to be a football town and Boise can't even sell out their 38,000 stadium consistently (although the gameday atmosphere is pretty dang good). Part of that is because good to great teams rarely go there for reasons that we've talked about for years and the IC schedule is weak for the most part, but still.....

It's so funny to me though when I'm flipping through games on a Saturday. I'll change it from a Pac 12 game to a SEC game for instance and have to immediately ratchet down the volume. It's so damn loud! The stadium and often even the cameras are shaking. Then I flip it back to the Pac game and have to dial the volume back up. Outside of an Oregon or Washington home game, it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop! No one gives a shit. They're just kind of there.

Of course it's loud at a SEC game, they are like sloth off the goonies. SEC teams play better defense but their fans can't even spell it in a chant.

The Rose Bowl is a complete dump, no idea how that isn't 11.

But our stadium is the worst, it is great in atmosphere but that actual stadium itself sucks. When you go to a WSU game you realize it doesn't need the bells and whistles and all that extra crap. It's BYOB and enjoy the game.

Helfrich appears to be smartly adding true WOs for the outsides that have the length and speed for their 6'2"+ frames. Kelly tended to keep the WRs corps smaller to maximize speed.

Most PAC teams are not sporting midget DBs these days and we still like to pass the rock plenty over here on the west coast.

Kelly WR recruits though the first 6 are from his first class which was largely constructed by Bellotti.
Nick Cole 6'3"
Tyrece Gains 6'2"
Daryle Hawkins who was a QB but Kelly converted him to WR 6'4"
Diante Jackson 6'2"
Braxton Lane 5'10"
Lavasier Tuinei 6'6"
Keanon Lowe 5'10"
Devon Blackmon 6'0"
BJ Kelly 6'2"
Tacoi Sumler 5'8"
Rahsaan Vaugn 6'2"
Bralon Addison 5'10"
Chance Allen 6'3"
Dwayne Stanford 6'5"

Then you have the class of 13 some from kelly some from Helfrich
Devon Allen 6'1"
Darren Carrington 6'2"

class of 14 all Helfrich
Jalen Brown 6'2"
and now 15 Ofidile 6'1"

so back to your observation on Kelly's WR, no.

And to your second point of midget DB Arizona's tallest projected starter is 6'0".
Arizona State only has 1 over 6'0"
Cal has no projected starter even at 6'0"
Oregon only has 1 over 6'0"
WSU only has 1 over 6'0"
and there are a couple going 2 of 4 starting DB under 6'0"

L.O.L. @ the B1G athlon stadium thread.

Yeah, I was going to troll that one too and then figured why? Like the 5 people who would read it aren't worth the effort.

^copy.

Puter nerds en sech...a few lost over the bow as well. Somehow I "wanna" like em, then I get pounded with the 60+ score shit.

I gotta re-think my alliances here.

So you want to align with a duck? A beaver wanting to support a duck? And he says we have voodoo? :laugh3:

How the fuck does that happen? :noidea:

I mean at least we are supposed to have the hatred of the ducks in common. Don't know a single dawg that hates the beavs.

You should hand in your pelt for your treason.

most people think Oregon's "run" started with Kelly.

No, it began with that pick 6 by that weaton or whatever his name was. No matter what date you want to use, it really got going under bellotti.

Well of course a duck had to post this. They can't win it all and haven't won the conference in a few years, but damn it, some dipshits like their stadium more than others! I'm sure Athlon will send them a trophy for their case won't they? :noidea:

It wasn't designed for it, but of course the partial roof adds to the noise reverberation. You do know it rains up here now and then right? Roof... Rain... (connect those dots)

I know for sure Oregon is designed for noise. They should really expand seating in Eugene.

1) Kyle Ringo is out of his mind

2) Only 10 people got to vote on this?

3) Nothing west of U of Nebraska gets anywhere near this after the renovation. Nobody.

The #2 in the PAC is now Cal. Their renovated stadium and FOC/training facilities are worldclass and that view during sunset at that stadium takes your breath away. Oregon is #3 currently. But possible ASU jumps them after their stadium and facilities upgrade is completed.

Funny because it's never toward another duck, only those bringing up things about the ducks.

RD, don't get them started on facilities. Oregon's facilities belong in Dubai. Only place on earth so over the top that it would actually fit. Could be part of the terrorist training centers there.

Expensive doesn't always mean it's the best. A lot of their facilities are form over function. New Husky stadium and the facilities are world class, but also all-business. And setting? Can't be touched. Colorado, Rose bowl, Cal comes close.
