Posted about it a few pages back. The increase in revenue mainly means each school will get more $$$ money to their Athletic departments. Last year the payout was close to 21 mil to each school. This should increase for 2014 given this report. It was said that the number would be closer to 30 in a few years.

It means the broadcast deals are working well and the conf is running like a machine. Also means schools can upgrade the facilities with less begging hat in hand to alumnis and depend less on loans.

Cal's AD is in a huge financial hole right now and this money will help them greatly.

Colorado and USC are looking to fund major renovations of the stadiums. UCLA can easily justify that long overdue upgrade to their FO facilities.

Better health for the conference as a whole.

ULL is legit. Took us behind the woodshed.

Ya they were a 6 seed overall. Pretty good. I can't believe how entertaining college softball is. It ain't bad. I guess I catch some games every year at this time. Now that the Ducks are the favs to win it all I am intrigued.

Yep, game is at Noon.

Yesterday's highlights...

The Oregon State (42-11 overall), 23-6 Pac-12) defense turned four double plays behind Wetzler and Jeff Hendrix robbed Timmy Robinson of a home run in the ninth to seal the shutout. The shutout was the 14th of the season for the Beavers, extending a school-record.

Wetzler lowered his earned run average to a nation-leading 0.76 and he tied teammate Jace Fry for the Pac-12 with the 11th win.

Well TF12 at least Wetzlers out of the way today...:suds:

I was listening to the livestream of the game and heard when Hendrix made the catch. The announcer must have said: "That should have been out" or "that should have been a home run" at least 10 times. He was just amazed at the play the kid made.

Washington is 3 spots too high in the North

I think Washington and Oregon St. in the North are kind of like USC and ASU in the South. They are pretty interchangeable and the difference will be made by how well they overcome losses of key players from last year.

Example: Brandin Cooks was responsible for almost 38% of Mannion's record 4600+ yards passing last year. If they don't find a way to make up that difference, UW likely beats them out for 3rd in the North. If they do, then they may overtake UW.

UW is dealing with an entire new coaching crew and a new starting QB. While I'm extremely confident in these coaches ability to get the job done, there still is plenty to be concerned about.

New QB.
No Sankey. We'll be more committee approach to run game in 2014.
The offenses Sark likes to run vs Petersen does have its differences.
Our DB will be very green vs the pass happy PAC.
Petersen will still have a lot to prove. The 2015 recruiting class will still have it's challenges with so much arms race competition and if we struggle to get Ws over 2014, the hype of this hire will fade fast. This will be the first PAC class that Petersen will judged on as a recruiter and needs to really get it done with Oline and LBs this class. If we wif on those, we are looking at serious trouble down the road.

But lots of positives as well. Lots of experienced Jrs and Srs.
One of the best WR corps in PAC.
Same defense Wilcox built up is the same exact one that this crew runs.
4 winnable OOC games to fine tune us for PAC play.
Tough PAC schedule as usual, but our tough games are spread out more.

Very excited for 2014, but tons of unknowns.

Oh gawd...the let's "just tank it" theory and get on home?:L:doh:

Soooo... I hear that today's game does have meaning for the Beavers as far as "seeding" goes for the Omaha tourney.

Sorry TF your Trojans were so close to 30 wins this year, the number it seems to take this year to be tourney bound anyways.

1-1 baby!:yahoo:
