Same here...I HATE the Ducks this year in foosball...

I understand. From the outside I realize the team and it's fans are tough to stomach.

But no matter who you are you have to like Mariota. Hell of a kid.

Just like with UW and OSU back in the day, how could you not like Nap Kauffman or Ken Simonton.

Yeah...Mariota is a good kid who WILL BE protecting his knees this coming year, has to become a pocket passer more IF he is to take the next step up. Won't see him being reckless like year 1 and 2.

That is why this team should be better than last years. Very strong a to line with all 5 returning starters, 3 awesome RBs.

The run game had the numbers last year. But just didn't look like those 2010 through 2012 running games.

Barner and James were missed last year. I think Marshal and Tyner are going to go nuts this season reminding us of those years I mentioned prior.

^ I do see UO as being a very dangerous running team of the smash mouth football type...a lot different style this coming year Mamba...They may not be just a high scoring club, but more of a ball control team.

Either way "dem dogs can still hunt"!

Yeah, they are preparing a squad that is much more physical and heavier at the point of attack on both sides of the ball.

Pellum the new DC is heavily emphasizing size and power. Extra trips through the food line are mandatory lol. And of course extra reps in weight room.

We will see how that extra size and toughness that Oregon is attempting to gather will be fruitful. With the new twist on the Duck philosophy of speed one wonders what we will see.

Where ya think UO got that? Add a sprinkle of speed and ya gotz the best of both worlds...a ground control game and a read option pass club.

Your new coach will have more tools to work with than Chipper ever did. AND be more dangerous whoever they play against.

I think that Helfrich evaluated the season and saw the same issues we all did. The sooner he realizes he can't be a Chip cookie cutter the better. The best thing he can do is put his own identity on this team. And it should work. I am Optimistic at least.

And if his own twist is a heavier more physical team on the lines I am for it. It is a hybrid of what Chip did in creating space and make open field blocks while the opponents front 7 was on the move when getting blocked. We will still see this, but I expect a few more opening created between the tackles with blocks made on the snap.

That is what a lot of people forget about LaMike James. Most of his yards were gained between the tackles. Get back to that. They tried and did pretty good last year. Just not great like years past. They will be back to that, at least that is the plan.

Soooo... I hear that today's game does have meaning for the Beavers as far as "seeding" goes for the Omaha tourney.

Sorry TF your Trojans were so close to 30 wins this year, the number it seems to take this year to be tourney bound anyways.

1-1 baby!:yahoo:

Current score 3-1 Trojans heading into the bottom of the 8th inning.:suds:

Good luck in the playoffs, I doubt USC gets in, I think we needed a sweep.

Had ESPN on and they have the softball game between Oregon and Minnesota. Jesus Mamba, some of them Oregon pitchers looking they could beat C.C. Sabathia in an eating contest, and your 1st basemen looks bigger than Prince Fielder. What are you feeding your softball players?!

lol. You see the Minnesota pitcher... even bigger.

Oregon has a couple cute players. But I think most of the hotties are reserved for cheerleading.

They are also Oregon's O-line. :bolt:
