Part of me hopes you get back to those one or two upsets a year so we don't lose the brash and cocky little mid-major fans on the boards. Otherwise those memories are all you will have and you will end up running out of steam for all your ammo against the Pac and SEC.

You mean the Oregon fans?

Everyone on these forums likes Bama, that's why so many threads get made about them.

As I've pointed out before, the reason so many threads get made about them is because 'Bama fans are so damn sensitive. A 'Bama thread (especially one that's critical of 'Bama) is a guaranteed 20 page thread.

Why? Because just like Pavlov's dogs, y'all just can't help yourselves.

Hell, this thread wasn't even about 'Bama, it was about the SEC sticking to an 8 game IC schedule which Saban was actually against and wanted 9 IC games. Then along came the Bammers and voila......we are now at 37 pages mainly about 'Bama.

It ain't just about Alabama, it's about the entire SEC. You guys are obsessed and can't stop talking about it. You want to blame everything other than just the conferences being plane better as the reason for the success because it makes you feel better. Unless of course it's directly pointed out, then it's blah blah blah "We never said that".

We have a Pac12 thread, but the rest of the forum is SEC. Make all the excuses you want about it, but hell even your excuse here is that "We can't help ourselves" and yet - last time I checked we aren't the only ones posting here, and there are even less of us posting. So apparently, someone somewhere other than the SEC/Alabama loves to talk about it, and your excuse is at it's core complete bullshit.

Nope, wrong on all counts. First, Atlanta & New Orleans are the nearest metro areas from Alabama, which is why playing in either locale is quite easy. Folks routinely make that trip for lots of reasons. At the NASCAR race, I saw thousands of Bamans, interestingly, most of them fitting the stereotype of what I thought prior. Yes, we've heard of airplanes, silly; that's how Boise gets everywhere. 2. I looked it up, it's 59 miles, and with a police escort, which they had, didn't take too long. But you get the point. I also get that you want to split hairs, otherwise you have no argument whatsoever. But I guess that you think that everyone travels like you do, so I'll give you a pass. Now go reshoe those old nags of yours before the misses sends you to town for beans and grits. Or do you have one of those fancy pick em up trucks? [just joking]

Hate to burst your bubbble, but I wasnt wrong on any part. Bama is not in Georgia, so I was correct. Athens to Atlanta is 69.7 miles...right again. Matters not if New orleans and Atlanta are the closet metro areas (you forgot Birmingham), what matters is that either is not a home game by the rules of the game. So I am correct yet again. And I am not sure what Nascar racing has to do with any of this, which shows how you are truly grasping at straws. Nice try but your post equals fail.

BITCHES!!

:yahoo:
A little late to the party but oh what the hell.....

I'm just guessing that you would need to at least make it to a CCG before you start kicking anyones asses in it!

It's easy, really. This thread provokes debate, because it's obvious that the top conference in the country over the last decade, the SEC, is guilty of working the system to its advantage.

That is a point obvious to everyone, well, except to SEC homers, who would probably blame the bank if the police caught them holding the stolen money bag.

So, rather than discuss why they won't play a 9 game IC schedule or explain why they refuse to schedule better non conference games, we get all kinds of nonsense arguing about what is a home game, neutral game, putting down other schools, other posters, anything, but discuss this:

Why is the richest, most talented, and most highly regarded conference in the nation (well, at least in their words) deliberately ducking tough OOC games? Why won't they take steps to up the level of competition within their conference by adding an extra game instead of playing all those blood donors?

Enough of the nonsense. Answer those questions.

McNabb- Lol I would rock a Ed Reynolds Eagles jersey sure. You called this months ago, wanna go to Vegas with me, I could use a man like you at the Black Jack table.

I was amazed at Yankey's drop, but more irritating was Skov going undrafted. Prior to his knee injury 2 years ago he was a potential 1st rounder. He had a bum leg at the combine and pro day's so his times were awful, I still think he will be a starter in the next couple of years.

For the UDFA from LSJU as of right now-
Skov goes to the 9ers
Wilkerson (Gaffney's back up) is with the Colts (Stanford East) already.
Hewwit (Fullback/TE) to the Bengals.
Josh Mauro DE and Devon Carrington FS to the Steelers.

I expect Jarek Lancaster LB and Khalil Wilkes (C) to get picked up soon as well.

Fuck we have a ton of holes to fill next year.

That is a point obvious to everyone, well, except to SEC homers, who would probably blame the bank if the police caught them holding the stolen money bag. I will be glad when EVERYONE comes in here to say so, i will take the roll when they do

So, rather than discuss why they won't play a 9 game IC schedule or explain why they refuse to schedule better non conference games, we get all kinds of nonsense arguing about what is a home game, neutral game, putting down other schools, other posters, anything, but discuss this:

Why is the richest, most talented, and most highly regarded conference in the nation (well, at least in their words)Dont recall ever hearing an SEC fan say these words, maybe refresh our memory with proof deliberately ducking tough OOC games? Dont see a soul ducking anything, just making schedules and playing games. Why won't they take steps to up the level of competition within their conference by adding an extra game instead of playing all those blood donors? One lone voice wants to and has repeatedly said so, but he doesnt get credit for it, instead his team gets bashed weekly

Enough of the nonsense. Answer those questions.

Did I do well enough for you or are you still on your conspiracy theory soapbox?

Not sure if you know this or not but under the SEC rules a team must play one Big 5 conference opponent OOC per year, then they can schedule the remainder of their games OOC according to whatever criteria they want. Bama has in recent past played teams with coaches that were past Bama coaches in Georgia State and Colorado State. They played the Alma Mater of the coach of the team, they have played some schools that were trying to make the jump to Div 1 football and needed a payday for its athletic department. Seeing as we have several Division 1 FBS teams currently that ask for big money payoffs (close to a million I believe)to play other FBS teams, this doesnt seem out of line for a team to ask for when making the jump. You of all people should understand this Smiles, it wasnt so very long ago that poor old Boise was making the jump and needed help to do so from teams just like Alabama. In fact i believe I covered a current situation with your school also in some of my above comments didnt I?

I wont and have not stuck up for Bama's scheduling of FCS teams. I see no harm in them playing 2 lower tier colleges in the Sunbelt, MWC or any lesser conference like that which is FBS level and wont apologize for it at all, the FCS is out of the fans hands. The neutral site games are for economic reasons and help the school tremendously in its efforts to improve our already fantastic facilities. Wont apologize for those games either, so I guess we about covered it for the games part huh?

As for your conspiracy theory about "gaming" the system, well lets just agree to disagree that this is the ramblings of a person with a huge chip on his shoulder. Tell you what, make me believe that the SEC is gaming the system by showing me tangible evidence in the form of emails stating thats what is going to happen or some other form of smoking gun evidence and not your usual circumstantial evidence that can be twisted in 20 ways to Sunday.

Nope, it is you, my friend who doesn't get it. When we came to Atlanta to play Georgia, they whined like little babies that the Georgia Dome was a "neutral site."

Except no legitimate UGA fan actually said that
