If it's not in Vegas than it should stay as is. Hell the only time it was attended was when it was at Autzen.

I would agree with you about LV as the spot. However the game last year at Sun Devil Stadium was the best attended game in the three years of the series, 69,000 v. 59,000 at Autzen in 2011.

You keep saying you made no such claims, and that you aren't trying to rewrite history. What is the purpose of you pointing out that had the SEC played an additional conference game there would have been 7 more losses? If it is to simply point that out, we agree. If it is to say there would have been fewer NCs, fewer BCS bowls, etc., then I would say you are trying to rewrite history, and that no one knows that would have happened. That's one of the points I've tried to make. Clear it up by telling us your purpose in telling everyone the obvious.

could be off here but wouldn't the lower tier teams like miss st, vanderbilt, etc get left out of bowls with an additional loss and mid tier teams south carolina, georgia get lesser bowls with another loss? I'm hopeful that sooner or later the playoff selection committee leaves out one of these secondary sec teams that played a similar schedule to a non sec team...but not having the 9th game hits them where it counts. if an sec team played a sunbelt team while other playoff hopefuls played kansas st or oregon st...would hope that would show up in selections.

The discussion about how many "national championship" teams one has in a conference over history is totally bogus. What, is anyone playing them? The real discussion should be on the real schedule being played against the real teams on them. Every PAC school plays 9 games against teams with equivalent budgets and major school traditions and facilities. SEC schools load up instead on FCS schools, and other sad sacks willing to come as visitors to donate a win at the SEC's home crib.

The fact is that almost any PAC or SEC school has the budget and raw talent to on the right day beat almost anyone. You can't say that about the teams that the SEC plays instead for that extra game. They are almost always gimmie games that they couldn't lose even if their top players sat the whole game.

The fact is that any time a team loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits and a $100+ million dollar budget plays someone with a $20 million budget and 1 and 2 star recruits, at home no less, the result is going to be a blow out, 9 or more times out of 10.

It isn't even debatable, but true to form, our SEC friends are trying. It's kind of like defending junior high bullies who pick fights with 4th graders.

Last time Oregon played OU. OSU, KState, Texas x 2 and of course Colorado in BCS Fiesta Bowl -Oregon won --- damn if only to play in the Big 12.
If you wanna talk about the leather helmet era go ahead Mr Casual. But in BCS era the PAC was not a one team conference.

USC has never had a real counter balance in the PAC. Sure, some teams get better then fade away, but nothing to keep them honest.

Ohio State has Michigan
Alabama had Tennessee and now LSU or Florida
FSU had Miami
Oklahoma had Nebraska
Oklahoma and Texas now.
USC and ????that has won anything????

What exactly has the PAC done during the BCS era when you take USC out of the equation.
Sorry to hurt your feelings Duck Boy, but it's the PAC that has the image problem and not the SEC.
And yes, you guys need to do something about that, but all I see in this thread is how great the schedules are and how the fans deserve more than what the SEC gives, yada yada yada.

I think the fans of all those SEC teams with NC's are just fine with their teams.

I was actually saying I thought it was stupid to revisit the past. As to your post:

- Sure, I am guessing a few of the lower tier teams that have gone to bowl games wouldn't go. Personally, don't care.

- LOL at the USCe and UGa being mid-tier teams, and thinking that this would have a great deal of impact on them. The 7 losses will mostly be absorbed by the low end that don't go bowling anyway.

Oregon is 13-21-1 vs the Big12.
That's 38% winning percentage.
You have a 49% winning percentage in the PAC.
You have a 33% winning percentage vs USC.

Those are such great numbers.

My guess is that if you played a quality BCS team, 2 cupcakes, then won the PAC CG, then the NCCG, you wouldn't be too concerned that you played 2 cupcakes. Just saying.

I didn't like the cupcakes during the year we did win the NC. That's the point. I'd rather have 2 than 3 if we are forced to have any at all. This year we probably have 4 and for some reason Crimson thinks it proves some point, but it doesn't. If the Pac drops down to the SEC level and has 4 OOC's a year we will add an extra home game every year and it will be another shitty one I have to pay for get still have my seniority for the games I do want to see.

Ok Capt Obvious - in THIS millennium Oregon is 6-2 against the Big 12. Do you hunt with a musket?

P.S. Winning % is .744 in THIS millennium against the PAC and 6-5 against USC. After that massive beat down they put on you in the Natty can't blame you for thinking the PAC is a one horse stage.

OK, so we've established that Oregon Ducks football has a rich, winning tradition since 2010. Also, why would any Oregon fan comment in this thread? They have played an FCS school every year since they discovered football in 2010.

maybe it proves playing a nine game conference schedule doesn't prevent teams from playing three cupcakes :noidea:

And yeah, I still fail to see how replacing a road conference game with a home cupcake rips off season ticket holders. You get the same exact tickets plus one

Guess you don't know what millennium means. Since you brought up 2010 - Texas certainly hasn't played since then.

If you look at our history we have played a marquee name every year for a long time. Why Sark put out this schedule I don't know, but no one is happy about it. It by no means shows anything other than what has to be considered an odd situation at worst. It doesn't prove what you think it does. Dropping a conference game would add another shitty game to almost every team almost every year and we would have to pay for it. That is pure fact.

You don't see how ticket holders get ripped off? We pay a set price per game. When they add another home game our prices goes up by that amount. We don't pay less for fuckwad A&M. I would have to pay more for my tickets to see less quality. This really isn't hard to understand.
