I'd say:

North

Oregon
Stanford
Washington
Oregon St.
Wazzou
Cal

South

UCLA
USC
ASU
Arizona
Utah
Colorado

I think the North is pretty well Oregon's to lose this year. Stanford loses too much and Washington will need at least one season for Peterson to get his system, etc. in place and adjust to the better competition he will see.

In the South, I could easily see UCLA, USC or ASU winning with Arizona as a dark horse. Utah is likely still a couple of seasons away from being a serious contender in the South (although they could have a say in who ultimately wins it) and poor ol' Colorado is looking at another few seasons of getting their heads kicked in.

North:
OREGON
everybody else

South:
ASU
USC
Arizona
UCLA
Others

No contest in the North. Oregon wins it but is not undefeated. They break hearts because others could
win it, maybe should win, it but won't.

ASU does lose a lot on defense but this is the day of UTNH, offense will be even better. The South will not be won or lost by defense. Line up for CCG tickets in Tempe.

Having your defense outplay your offense in early spring means nothing. Absolutely nothing. The offense should take more time to get back into rhythm than the defense. Besides I doubt the offense works on the entire scope of plays at this stage. Hell, UW isn't even running full plays yet. They are just working on fundamentals at this point.

Well that's a given and a serious need, the stupid flags alone last season were prime examples for why this program needed an upgrade and in a hurry....

From what I'm reading, this is more normal for this staff on a regular basis. Spring is always about these fundamentals. With a new team they are working at it more slowly, but every year spring will be about these details versus adding or installing new parts of the offense. To them that is a fall activity.

They have said that very little of the full offense will be installed over this spring cycle. That, along with the injuries they are dealing with, is why there won't be an actual spring game, but one of the more typical modern spring practice sessions like we saw last year with Sark.

This also begs the question of just how far behind Miles is getting now. It was assumed that maybe Williams was going to be getting a huge advantage to overtake him should he still remain with the team. Maybe even Linquist. If they aren't really installing the offense until fall camp I'm not so sure that is actually true. If Miles isn't kicked off the team there is still a decent chance he starts. I don't think any of us will be happy about that if the allegations against him are true, but given how they are treating spring it is at least likely to be a possibility.

Ok, so normally I would never want to see Alabama in anything other than it's typical uniform.

But I might would need to reconsider for that.

I like optimism and all, but I will be surprised if ASU repeats. They didn't just lose starters on defense, they lost multi-year, NFL caliber stars on defense. Irabor was one of the better corners around. Darby was, besides Buchanon, the best safety in the conference. Golden was surprisingly good. Sutton and Bradford, obviously, but Davon Coleman was pretty good the last two seasons as well. On most other teams, losing a guy with 13.5 sacks and 26 TFLs the previous 2 years would be a big deal. I'm on my 7th name and I'm just getting to Chris Young, who had 195 tackles, 31.5 TFL and 9.5 sacks the last 2 seasons.

You cannot lose that much and not suffer. The new guys might be good, but there are going to be at least one or two games where things just go wrong. I doubt the team will collapse or anything, the offense should be too good- But another 8-1 in conference record is quite the stretch. I'll be pretty happy with 6-3.

So their team name is the Kiss? And they use flames on the jerseys? Right. The Flaming kisses.

And I thought the arena football league couldn't get more gay. :tsk:

Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are part owners. Kiss is going to do a free full effects concert for season ticket holders and season tickets are as little as $99.00!!

I almost have the wife talked in to letting me get 'em!!:suds:

May hap TF12 is married to a woman of Sicilian descent such as myself. "One does not simply reach into an Italian woman's pocket to take your balls back." However, the sex is well worth the loss of the testicles.

That said, as my wife is said woman, and I still have my balls, WTF TF12!

I would change one thing on your post 234,(noticed I left the SF off that?) TF standings look just right but UW secondary will be very young, true freshmen back there, and in this conference that can either hurt you or they have to grow up very, very fast. So instead of RB for the Dawgs I'm going QB and Secondary...

Mariota returning well sucks for the rest of the Conference, this kid is very talented at running and throwing the ball, OSU also in my eyes could very well be the sleeping giant that can shit all over teams in the North if they dial it in this year.

The south is anyone's game, SC new staff, but has talent, ASU could be tough, but replace a lot of folks on defense, and UCLA I'm just not sold on the coaching staff, I know they have talent, but "one hit wonders" need to come back year in and year out to show they are legit....
