TF12... You're letting your wife call the shots?

Considering that we're talking about season tickets and the games are about an hour and a half away, yes. We discuss it and if she isn't down, I'm not spending the money.

She is very interested in the concert though, which is my "hook".

Pretty much exactly the order I predicted.

I think that my Trojans are still a year away. I think we have the talent to "serve notice" that we'll be back very soon, but I don't think we will have the depth (especially on the O-line) to finish it off this season.

I think that at some point during the season, the depth issue will rear it's ugly head. The 2 most likely candidates being @Stanford and @UCLA as they have D-lines that will be the most capable of taking advantage of the lack of O-line depth.

These guys must have no idea how loooong that hour and a half drive each way might be for every home game if she felt left out of the decision. :gaah:

Hey if you've been married for any length of time, you pick your battles, as with all long term relationships if you're a wise man.

Besides you want her to feel good about herself too, it makes her more friendly!

I'm sure if the Kiss season tickets were higher up on your priority list tf12, it may be a very different story.

I always find it funny when I get advise from guys who have little to no experience in lifelong relationships. :laugh3:

I know you've been at if for awhile tf, hell I have 30 years and going strong! Still for me, what she thinks matters and I could careless where any of you might think me balls might be. :yahoo:

Translation = Happy wife, Happy life!!

Seriously though, as you point out, if those tickets were that high on my list of priorities, the conversation would be a little different. We'd still have the discussion, but it would be more about which price range, not whether or not I was going to get them.

And that hour and a half drive can become 2 1/2 to 3 hours easy if the 91 freeway is a mess.

I like optimism and all, but I will be surprised if ASU repeats. They didn't just lose starters on defense, they lost multi-year, NFL caliber stars on defense. Irabor was one of the better corners around. Darby was, besides Buchanon, the best safety in the conference. Golden was surprisingly good. Sutton and Bradford, obviously, but Davon Coleman was pretty good the last two seasons as well. On most other teams, losing a guy with 13.5 sacks and 26 TFLs the previous 2 years would be a big deal. I'm on my 7th name and I'm just getting to Chris Young, who had 195 tackles, 31.5 TFL and 9.5 sacks the last 2 seasons.

You cannot lose that much and not suffer. The new guys might be good, but there are going to be at least one or two games where things just go wrong. I doubt the team will collapse or anything, the offense should be too good- But another 8-1 in conference record is quite the stretch. I'll be pretty happy with 6-3.

Optimist? No, no, WABLTY. I've been a Devil too long to wear that tag, but I like what I've seen lately in Tempe. What I do like is the growing parity in the South and the fact that the division will indeed be a dog fight. We're talking Sun Devil offense here. We're not the Ducks yet but we're enough to get a date with the Ducks...in Tempe. I don't see another 9-1 but I think 8-1, 7-2 will be enough this year and the Devils at 7-2 will be better than the 9-1 team and we'll get the help we need to win the South. Get in line, WABLTY, remember the fight for tickets last year. Go, Devils!

Why are you surprised, mc? They really couldn't do it at UO, why would he want them in Philly?

Be honest, TF12. The "little woman" is much higher on the list of priorities than any other consideration you might have. Not because you don't have the balls to deal with her but indeed because you do!
