Da faq is going on down in Portland? :noidea: Every time there is a national story from that city it's some fucking crazy ass shit.

Police: Oregon teens torture classmate, cut swastika into his head - CNN.com

3 kids beat another kid with a crow bar and shot him with a bb gun and then carved a swastika on his forehead... and did it to steal his skate board and some money?

On a happier note, while looking at that story I found this vid that was far more interesting.

I saw that on the news tonight about those kids... What the hell is the matter with today's youth? Seriously there are some screwed up kids out there. Times like this you want to question the parents to death, seriously what the hell?

I'm all for second chances, but kids who do this shit need to be locked up for a long time. You have to be severely mentally deranged to do something like this. This is the kind of crazy that cannot be fixed.

Yeah, and it was actually 4 of them, but one was 14 and is being tried as a juvenile. The other 3 ranged from 15-17 and are being tried as adults.

4 kids lured a classmate into that kind of horror to steal his fucking skateboard. I mean not only is that a completely unrepairable kind of evil, but how fucking stupid can you be? How did they think they would get away with it after not actually killing their victim? He's a classmate of theirs.

Stupid AND evil are always dangerous. Those fuckwads don't deserve to ever see the light of day again.

If they did that to my kid I'd be going to jail for a long time because I'd freak the fuck out on those who did that. No way they'd make it to court.

Perfect. Then the child would grow up mentally and physically scarred with the addition of having no Dad because u acted a fool and retaliated. Landing u in prison... Where ur scarred son could come visit u for 30 mins a week. That would help.

How bout letting the authorities handle it while u r there for the child now and long term rather than give in to temp rage. Plus killing or beating someone is very easy to say. Actually doing it is different.

Pretty easy to sit in judgement of others too isn't it.

I already told you I had a severe temper and was under court ordered anger management when I was younger. I used to literally see red and go crazy. I had no control what so ever. I worked hard to dial that back and have done a great job of it over the years. Someone attacking my family in such a heinous way would surly light that fuse again. I spent time in jail for people who did far less than actually cause harm to my family.

I can see that Mikey, but again that is parents not being responsible enough to say, " hey turn that shit off and get your ass outside or read a book."

I'm not saying police em to death, but set limits and do a check up on them...

That's rough Wiz, but Mamba is right, and believe me I would go ape shit crazy as well if it was my kid, but it does them no good when dad is in jail, instead of helping them through life.

Let law enforcement handle, that way when the cop decides to handle his way with the suspects you can justify him on the Political Board here and simply say, "Justified" when people want to whine about police brutality....

Wiz, though I have never had the court order, but I too, used to see red. I was pretty often a victim of bullying in my youth, I was fat, my brother committed suicide when I was ten and I was a crybaby. It made me an easy target. I outgrew my short fattest kid in the class phase, learned to box, and then, I hate to admit I actually started to find ways to get my former bullies to swing at me. I actually got into bouncing to force myself to control my temper.

In cases like this I take the Heinlein approach. If you define delinquent as failing in ones duties, then children cannot be delinquent as we give them no duties. I blame parents not taking an active role in the lives of their kids, and not disciplining kids. I teach child development, I know the data, spanking (not beatings) when done as a clear punishment, and not in anger, are actually correlated with higher school performance, better peer relationships and higher moral reasoning (using Kohlberg's 6 stages).

So who is delinquent in these cases, mom and dad. In my opinion if parents were not punished for disciplining kids, and held responsible for negative child actions, there would be a greater impetus for parents to raise their kids and not leave it to the tv or schools to do that job.

On a football related note, did any of you see coach Shaw's new robot?

You know this is why this thread kicks ass week in and week out, sure we "badger" each other with our rival hatred but we can talk about damn near anything on here, sometimes it does get "heated" but that will always happen cause of all the different opinions folks have and there is nothing wrong with it, that's what makes this country great, and sometimes one's comments does open another's eye's so this is my way of saying you guys are pretty damn cool (even your BS) and I would have a beer anytime with you.:suds:

This is my once a year "nice post" once train camp opens my hatred will come back and my Dawgs will open a serious can of ass beat down on your beloved team...

I love y'all trying to talk me down off a theoretical cliff I'm not actually on. Of course I wouldn't intentionally go ape shit on someone. I'm simply saying I'm pretty sure I would be out of control if something like that happened to my family and I'd likely do something I otherwise wouldn't. Why you all are taking it so seriously when it's a hypothetical to being with is beyond me.

Wiz I for one didn't think you were talking "postal" I was just countering with what Mamba had commented, I believe I would act different if it was my kids and I'm sure as would be seen Red....

I can use "postal" or is that considered "racist" now a days...

Wiz I did not think that was what I did, I was empathizing, and adding that maybe we should beat the parents, not the kids.

So McNabb is Philly switching to a 3-4 for sure, if so think they might take Murphy in a later round to add to the P12 connection?

I think Chipper will move it to a full 3-4, this hybred 3-4 4-3 it don't work, double BB in New England toyed with it and it doesn't really work, plus with Chip's offense scoring under two minutes every possession it would be easier to set your defense and add depth for the simple fact there out there on the field longer...

Murphy is a good pick, but you know Buddha I got my eyes on Reynolds. Love that kid and would be a huge upgrade for the Birds secondary, ( talking Earl Thomas upgrade here)....
