And we love visitors. Specially you Texas folk. You, coda, and Stampede are 3 of my favs...
Thought it was cool when yall were giving the Huskies the what for today.
Yea well I might have topped it tonight with TF12. He won't admit it but the jimmies were rustling deep inside him.
yes but not his fault if his staff couldnt closeBecause he was the defensive coordinator assigned total control of the defense because Mike Sherman was the head coach and offensive coordinator who wanted no part in it?:no idea:
Wouldn't the buck stop with him? The defensive staff was even his guys.
Their history is also on par with each other UCLA has more football conference championships than UW(by 2). UW has more Rose bowl appearances and wins (by 2)
1. Written before the 2012 season.
2. Ted Miller former columnist for Seattle Post-Intelligencer so maybe
Did you see that link from Ted Miller on his rank of jobs? I can post more because I've seen many of those lists and UW is always listed higher. It isn't just blind homerism speaking here. There is no denying that UCLA doesn't spend nearly what UW does on football. Seattle always has been a football town. Period. We aren't a baseball town or basketball town. We ARE football. UW knows this and gives that program whatever they want. Now it's true in the hedges era she tried to divert a lot of resources to women's athletics L) but even then James and others got what they asked for when they pushed for it.
UCLA is a basketball school first. Now not nearly as bad as Arizona, but still. And Stanford fans are funny people. Buddha here is a true football fan, but many look down on all athletics and those who support it.

Pretty sure coaches like the greenbacks as much as anyone else. It was reported that Sark got more than a 1 million a year raise going to USC so the pay race is accelerating and UW will no doubt follow suit.

Well to be fair if you look at the bonuses Graham has the highest potential. But I do think it's funny that Colorado and Cal pay so much for so little. Their win per dollar ratio is crazy.
Mack has acted like a spoiled baby all year long. He has media personnel fired if they speak a negative word about the program. He shuts them out of the program where they have no choice but to fire them. These are former Texas players to and some that played under him. He constantly complains about the fans not supporting the team like we want to pay thousands of dollars to watch our team lose for the 4th year in a row when the players have the talent to win.
Mack admitted he went to sleep at the wheel back in 2009 and promised he was turning things around. He admitted he let recruiting stars drive his recruiting decisions. He refused to fire a defensive coordinator that had the worst defense in Texas history last season. Then turns around and fires him 2 games into the season. Greg Robinson of all people who sucked at Michigan has been able to turn the defense around to the point they only have given up around 350 yards a game under him and are first in the nation in sacks and tackles for loss since he took over. Thats how much talent the defense possesses. It just needed a semi competent person calling the shots and I'm not even sure Robinson would have been called that until now lol.
Mack said Texas would be good again this year and they aren't. 8-3 isn't good at Texas and he knows it. Not when you went 5-7, 8-5, and 9-4 the 3 years prior. Mack was given a chance to turn things around and he hired a terrible defensive coordinator who had never proven anything and then failed to correct his mistake. He was given a ton of free passes and now he needs to go and he will go. Whether he leaves on good terms or kicking and screaming out the door. It's his choice…
P.S. A big 12 title and BCS game could possibly buy him another year with the new AD but that isn't going to happen. Texas won't beat Baylor and also have Oklahoma St lose. Not with Case McCoy at QB.
