Well it wasn't a nickname per sey, but one of my favorites was the 'all I saw was purple' quote from Marinovich that rang out and was talked about the entire '90 season after UW thumped USC 31-0 early that year.

Good times. Good times.

:suds:

P.S. Not really a fan of our current defenses self proclaimed nickname of the 'death row' defense.
Yeah, "Death Row" is pretty lame. I figured they could come up with something a little better.

Under leach haven't they been more like the Palouse Pussies on defense? :noidea:

In conference, for the past few years we actually have been one of the better defenses. Not UW elite but better than most, in conference, plus. We have put a ton of guys in the NFL. Who would've thunk since Leach has taken over as head coach they were be more defensive players in the league than offensive players.

But damnit, reports are Falk says he is entering the draft after this year. Dude is getting some bad advice IMO if it's true, it's a bad QB class but guy needs about 20-30 pounds on him in order...but then again Goff went number 1.

UW favored by 15.5 against Cal on the road. Cal is undefeated at home including wins over Utah and Texas. Did take OT to beat the Ducks in their last home game, but that's still a pretty tall spread.

Anyone have thoughts on that much for the road team?

Did you watch the USC Cal game? If Cal couldn't stop USC it wont be stopping UW even at home. cal isn't a traditionally hard place to play.

Good fucking christ on a pogo stick. I go for a week and come back to 30 fucking pages of AKA Clarkson, AG and others bitching about bets and etiquette for posting articles?

J/K I missed most of you miscreants.

I am almost starting to miss OD. Pretty sure Standford loses this week. Chryst looked horrible in the 10 minutes of the game I got to see while taking my kids around LA after a day at Universal Studios getting my geek on.

And Goff is tearing it up!

On the practice field. :L

Easy cover, easy money.

I'd take out a second on the house if I were a Huskies fan and call the local bookie!

Especially since its a PAC12 reffing crew. :heh:

Goff made a shit load of money beating a horrible Texas team. I'll never understand the Ram's pick, not once in his career was he ever a top 3 QB in his own conference.

Oh i know they are a flawed team for sure, but they have been nails at home. I'm not that worried about the final score or results, just wondered if anyone else thought 16 points was a tall order for a road team that has looked just so-so in 2 of it's 3 trips so far this year.

What's not to understand, it's the Rams making the pick.

I know I've been poking fun, but I really think this will be one of those statement games and the Huskies run away with it.

16 points will be an easy cover, unless Petersen calls off the dogs and the backups give up the ghost and the spread.

That's the only way the Huskies don't cover.

Not hard to understand if you believe the PAC 12 is about nothing but money. How much will we, that is the PAC 12, lose if our only team that has a shot at the top four big money loses to a Cal or USC? No idea how formalized that thought is, but its there IMO.

3 'no call' blocks in the back, on a go ahead TD late in the 4th quarter, approve of this post! :pound:

Um, no. These refs have proven to be entirely incompetent when it's two bottom feeders playing for nothing.

IMO you see more problems with refs today than you did 20 years ago because of all of the rule changes. We all used to know what a catch was and hitting in football used to be legal. All these namby pamby bullshit pillow fight rules we have now that can't possibly be called in any consistent way have muddled the shit out of this game.

Dude, why do you have to be so sensible, the PAC12 Ref tampering, or UDubb head bumps is so much more entertaining to speculate! :heh:
