Tis true!

Honestly, I've refrained from honking the Bruins horn amidst all the DC debacle they encountered during NSD but if anyone of the 12 are at 'a beginning', it probably starts in Westwood.

It's fair to say, as beginnings go for recruiting class strengths on the rise, all else are looking up.

:yahoo:

Then again, once the all the chips fall from the Ulbrich saga who knows, they may have a whole new starting point. :L

Only time will tell.

My vote for anyone at the "beginning" goes to Colorado. If those guys aren't at the beginning then they are at the End. Can't see how that train wreck can become any worse.

Not at the 'beginning' BUSC but at the 'beginning for recruiting class strengths on the rise'.

Big difference...

BTW- Colorado will continue to 'do better' as there tenure in the PAC moves on.

Living in the Northwest, how'd you become 'RaidaDave?

I grew up in Southern Oregon in the 70's and 80's. When I was a kid, everyone where I lived was either a Raiders fan or a 49ers fan. My Dad grew up in the Bay area and was a Raider fan since their inception. So, I was kind of destined to be a Raider fan.

UO recruited more defensive players than offensive players and landed a rare 5 star for the D-Line. Of course there was a couple that they wish would have committed, happens every year. If UO can recruit 1,2 or 3 in the PAC they will always be a top 10 program. Recruiting against USC is a very tall order no doubt. But the 2015 & 2016 class look great and the fanbase is pumped. USC at full strength is a top 5 or 10 program and UO has established the past 5 years they are to. Will be interesting if there is room in the top 5-10 for both programs.

I think in the coming years, both will be in the top 10 pretty much every year.

:agree: Even with the loss of Roquan Smith, this is the best UCLA recruiting class that I can remember. How long it lasts probably depends on how long Mora sticks around, but the Bruins are definitely headed in the right direction.

I don't think the Ulbrich thing is going to mean much. Unless I'm mistaken, the only player that didn't/wasn't sign(ed) was Smith. The only way that I see it coming back to haunt you guys is there is now a report that he apparently told Smith that he had declined the Falcons job, only to turn around and take it 4 days later. Personally, I don't think he did that, but doubt it will have much impact down the road even if he did, but you never know.

Yeah, I think so on Colorado. They were a strong program for the 90's and into the early 2000's. Not sure what caused their implosion but around 2005 though they just seemed to fall apart.

I think we can all agree that it was the SEC's fault

5-star Pro style QB Shea Patterson (Shreveport, LA) committed to Ole Miss. USC was considered his other top choice. USC has a bit of a logjam at that position right now so that could of been a factor.

Generally, the QBs who commit early like this stick with their commitments.

The west coast was loaded with top QB talent for the 2015 classes and many PAC schools took advantage of it. Expect most PAC schools to make other positions more of the point of emphasis for their '16 classes. It's thin at top QB talent this year out west, in general. Even with the dual threat ranked QBs.

4-star Pro QB KJ Costello (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) is the big name out west who hasn't officially committed yet. He's going to be pursued mainly by Stanford, USC, and Michigan, but Stanford is a heavy lean right now and where he'll probably commit once he clears the academic reqs.

Have we thought about making is thread a sticky on the page?

For off season it seems the PAC fans are the most active on here.

Then why would it need to be stickied?

I just make it my mission to post enough to keep it toward the top. Hope Mamba doesn't mind reading all drivel I write.

Nevermind. The buttons are showing up now. The site upgrades are obviously still being tested.

With a new coaching staff and the best recruiting class I've yet to see at OR St, I'm thinking the Beavs are going to be a dark horse this next season. They'll sure rain on a few teams' parades.
