They are getting skill position players they need to run their offense correct. But they wanted Houston they wanted I.Marshal they recognize they need to change defensively because power teams are thier weakness but they didnt get those players no matter what your spin is. They got that huge project kid and lower ranked defensive side kids. Oregon coaches would have been crazy happy to get the D players USC got. But nice try.

Youre attractive to skill position players. This year you had a better ranking because you landed higher ranked skill players. Your problem has and will be you cant win just with offense. If you separate offense and defense how well did you do recruiting? Your coaches wanted many of the big name defensive players but wiffed. Im sure now you will tell me they really didnt want them right?

Honestly, I've refrained from honking the Bruins horn amidst all the DC debacle they encountered during NSD but if anyone of the 12 are at 'a beginning', it probably starts in Westwood.

It's fair to say, as beginnings go for recruiting class strengths on the rise, all else are looking up.




Then again, once the all the chips fall from the Ulbrich saga who knows, they may have a whole new starting point.

Only time will tell.

There's no denying that USC had a good recruiting cycle. It remains to be seen what Sark can do with it.

UO recruited more defensive players than offensive players and landed a rare 5 star for the D-Line. Of course there was a couple that they wish would have committed, happens every year. If UO can recruit 1,2 or 3 in the PAC they will always be a top 10 program. Recruiting against USC is a very tall order no doubt. But the 2015 & 2016 class look great and the fanbase is pumped. USC at full strength is a top 5 or 10 program and UO has established the past 5 years they are to. Will be interesting if there is room in the top 5-10 for both programs.
