I like Keith Law. He's commenting on the NCAA not guaranteeing scholarships for hurt players and their general tone deaf nature like when they take away the eligibility of a veteran because he played in a league for soldiers.

He knows and I know that it would have to be USC who pulls his scholarship and not the NCAA but the fact that they even could because of the NCAA rules is his issue.

Rich Rodriguez announced at his weekly Monday press conference that Anu Solomon will start at quarterback for the Arizona Wildcats Friday night in the season-opener against UNLV.

Solomon, who is a redshirt freshman, dressed for one game last year. That game: UNLV. He is from Las Vegas, which probably makes this a little extra-special for the QB.

Solomon will become the first freshman quarterback to start a game at Arizona since Willie Tuitama in 2005, when he started the final four games of that season. He will be the first freshman to start a season-opener for the Wildcats in the Pac-10/12 era.

Solomon has a winning pedigree, having won four Nevada state championships at Bishop Gorman HS.

How come none of those highlights were from the USC game?

Didn't want to include them since there is a chance with USC the plays won't count towards anything in the future, and having to go back to add an asterisk to old stadium videos is a waste of resources.

Washington's Budda Baker, who was rated as the No. 2 prospect nationally for the 2014 classes, will be starting for the Huskies at free safety for the season opener at Hawaii.

In an interview after the presser today Petersen said Budda Baker would be starting at Safety in the Hawaii game. He also said there would be a lot of rotation, but the coaches have been very impressed with how far Baker has come in such a short amount of time. His attention to detail and work ethic have turned heads. By all accounts he was more talented and an even harder worker at Bellevue HS than Miles Jack was.

Last season UW played 4 home games that started at 4pm or later with their only early games being Idaho State, Oregon, and the Apple cup. Every road game was at 3pm or later. Not one early game.

I can tell you those 7pm starts in November are no picnic and I hope they don't continue that this year.

Their first home game is a 12:30 so it's starting off on the right foot, but you know they will screw them over somehow as the season rolls on.

Oregon State played about SEVEN of those late night 7:30 games last, Riley was not happy about it either. Hope the PAC doesn't makes us do that shit again this year. I won't be going to ANY of those TBA games as well, ya don't get home til 1:am in the morning after traveling all day-n-night.

The PAC got the message about the late starts and especially how the PAC schools in Oregon and Washigton kept getting dicked with them the most. They moved one of those 6-7pm later start time slots to 11am-12 starting this year.

None of us care if you take jabs at us as I think most of us actually like you and have no issues with jabs from our friends. It just seems odd at times from you. Especially at a time when in another thread you appear to be extremely against anyone else taking those same jabs at you. Some consistency would be nice.
