FSU is a joke as a playoff team. They are the ACC equivalent to Boise State over parts of the last decade. It's an embarrassment and Oregon is going to prove that easily.

I'd honestly expect a better game from at least 4-5 Pac teams over what that is going to be.

Very very high chance it's Bama/Oregon in the final game.

Isn't that what everyone has wanted for years? I do, I want to see how Oregon matches with Bama. We will know, I mean KNOW, who is #1 and, more important, who is NOT. If Oregon can't beat FSU, well, so be it.

So final tally:

8 PAC teams will be in bowls this year.

Las Vegas Bowl - Utah vs. Colorado St. - Dec 20th - 12:30pm

Sun Bowl - Arizona State vs. Duke - Dec 27th - 11am

Holiday Bowl - USC vs. Nebraska - Dec 27th - 5pm

Foster Farms Bowl - Stanford vs. Maryland - Dec 30th - 7pm

Fiesta Bowl - Arizona vs. Boise St. - Dec 31st - 1pm

Rose Bowl - Oregon vs. FSU - Jan 1st - 2pm

Alamo Bowl - UCLA vs. Kansas St. - Jan 2nd - 3:45pm

Cactus Bowl - Washington vs. Oklahoma St. - Jan 2nd - 7:15pm

All bowls will be on ESPN, except the Vegas Bowl which will air on ABC and Sun bowl which will be on CBS.

I like a lot of those matchups. Should be another great bowl season. :suds:

That hc job just became more attractive.

I wonder if they have a guy and he is demanding this before he takes job.

Either way a huge step for OS football.

Haven't heard anything further. WSU twitter says it isn't true. I Don't believe them

I don't either as I don't think Leach enjoys Pullman. Seemed like the perfect fit at the time, but if think he's finding out Pullman is tough to recruit to.....Leach is a fit for your smaller texas schools, where he can get those texas commits.

That is exactly what I was thinking. That is a pretty big name in Corvallis and it seems he would want something to work with. He does not take kindly to losing.

He was miserable last few years at Cal.

This feels accurate, though I always assumed Oregon and Washington fans loathed each other as much as we do. More of a 1A and 1B at the top of the Most Likely To Pour Anti-Freeze In Rival's Dog's Water Dish list.

Though I don't think Washington ever tried to keep Oregon from expanding or blocked a medical school purely out of spite.

Nothing against the PAC or Washington players, but I said this about Leach from the beginning. The sheer volume of players coming out of Texas always guaranteed that he could get solid (but not great) players for his system in TTech, and that really kept him afloat. When TTech started doing well, he was able to start pulling in even better talent. He doesn't have that same luxury in Pullman what with having to compete for a much smaller pool of players against the same number of bigger schools. I never believed he could succeed there,or at least not at the same level as the last years at TTech.
