If people are going to PM in entries they should be sent to me as I'm the one that tallies and keeps the spread sheets with the season totals.

Well, as I just posted on the UW team board, who gives a shit at this point? We can talk/type about how adequate our defense is until we're blue in the face/our fingers fall off and it's all fucking irrelevant. The offense needs to score points to win, and that's something they're clearly not prepared to do...
Stanford Fan feels your pain, I just wish David would stick with one RB as the primary, all the parents of LSJU players on my plane back today say their kids think both Barry J and McCaffery are the real deal. Can't understand why they keep giving the rock to Wright.

I saw a few flying outta the stands when he scored

In all seriousness, I was getting hit with shit all game, the wind was nuts. If that was a bottle being deliberately thrown it was a damn impressive toss.

Ok so I have finally settled in back home. A few notes from yesterday:

The Stanford Alumni Association knows how to throw a reunion. Open bar ran 7p-2a Friday and 10a-9p Saturday. Free food included Sushi, Indian food, Steak, BBQ brisket and chicken, and snack open at all times. The bottom end whiskey was Crown and I drank a few bottles of Makers Mark and half a bottle of Don Julio in that time. This could explain why so few alums made it to the game, attendance was abysmal.

The Stanford D is just silly. They got winded against ASU, but I kid you not, I see them being strong for at least 3 more years. Hell with Parry hurt they burned a redshirt on Harrison Phillips, yes the kid had many good plays as a 255lb true freshman nose tackle.

Bloomgren is a great O-line coach and recruiter, but I feel, so this is conjecture of the utmost sort, that he is in way over his head with the OC duties. Pick a freaking running back and let him get in rhythm.

Hogan is serviceable, but even I knew where he was throwing most of the time, I only counted about 7 check downs in the entire game.

Finally, if OSU does not get that o-line together Mannion may end up dead before the end of the season, even on plays where he got the ball off he was getting knocked down hard right as he released.

I would have had one more point if I had picked my team to win, I expected more from the D of Oregon State.

Been in Huntington Beach all day, just got back, so I couldn't post 'til now.

Congrats Utes. Great game last night. That run by Wilson at the end was unreal.

We needed 2 yards to put the game away, could only get 1 and the defense was out of gas.

As for the refs. Not only did the refs NOT cost us the game or help the Utes, it was actually one of the better reffed PAC games I've seen all season.

Congrats and well done there cranky pants.:yahoo:

lol...:suds:

We just disagree on the cause of UWs current woes. Fans of UW have been patient for a long time. Some of us are running out of it. A school like UW shouldn't be in perpetual rebuild mode.

I have lived thru 28 stra8 losing seasons in row...Tell me something I don't know IB.

Yeah Huskies should be an elite team in the Nation...but BaBa Hedges took care of that for ya...be patient and let Coach P figure it out for you guys. I mean the guy has crazy stats in FBS football, right?

Petersen will be held far more accountable than he has ever dreamed. The stakes rose right along with his salary and the expectations and demands are high. He has access to coaches, recruits, and resources that were far out of reach where he came from. I'm sure he will build and adapt, but no one expected it would be within the first few months of his tenure.

He took this challenge specifically for this reason. He wanted to test himself and take on something bigger. It will require him to make tough decisions such as firing staff he may otherwise like and respect. It's part of the job. And I have no doubt he will do what he needs to for this program.

might take some time. but I stand by USC will regret not hiring him..we wont ever know if he did or didn't want USC job but think USC made the wrong hire. don't see usc current team with 3 losses with him coaching
