So LSU spoils Ole Miss' quests...

Good deal!

I thought they were fortunate to be in the hunt.

That said, while one SEC moves down another overrated SEC moves up...

Welcome to the AP final four Tigers!

So, will this be the week that more than 1, One loss PAC team finds the top 10?

It's gonna be interesting to see the first Committee Polls when they come out.

Will they be influenced by the AP polls? :noidea:

Or will they rock the CFB world!

HEY WAIT WHIZZER!

I would like to think my Beavers hold that distinction, at least you guys can run the ball this year.

You clearly didn't watch that game.

Sorry man, but Smith has to go. He's in way over his head. He can't develop, coach, game plan, or call plays.

They can run the ball? Got them exactly 3 points and I guess ASU just finally got bored on part of that drive. Shaq gets 98 yards and most of that was on that one drive. No passing threat of any kind to go with it.

Just like with the Stanford game, John Ross ends up with a total of 2 plays for the entire fucking game. Fire Smith TODAY just for that. Fastest guy on the field and you don't even have him out there most of the game and only try him twice. There is no excuse for that. They are down to using a LB as RB and STILL don't use their best weapon? How can anyone justify that? His two plays - a run that went for 11 yards and a little sweep that got blown up where he only got a couple of yards.

Anyone who wants to defend Smith tell me how you only get your big play maker the ball twice and still deserve a job. And this wasn't the first game he did this in. I could call better plays.

SMITH

MUST

GO

^ You have made your point clearly Whiz, but wasn't the Huskie game TIED 10-10 in the 4th? Guess that "vaulted D" you claim to have went MIA twice late in the game. But let's hear you BLAME OC Smith some more for losing this one.

AND yes I did watch the game.

I gotta side with Wiz here Wallace.

It isn't just lack of playmakers. They have skill on offense but just are not exploiting defenses.

They are making everything they do offensively more difficult than it should be.

If you watched it then you know the last score came from the offense throwing a pick 6. How can you blame the defense for that.

The defense played more than well enough win. When you have a completely inept offense your defense is out there more and even with that they played a hell of a game. The offense gave up two turnovers that led to scores by ASU. So score alone says you didn't watch it man.

SMITH IS TERRIBLE. FUCKING HORRIBLE. And that's just how it is.

Spose the weather had a play here Mamba, looked like all the Huskies could do was run the ball even tho ASU knew it, they didn't stop it much. Short pass game? Tell me about it, OTHER Pac TEAMS could have followed that recipe here and failed as well.

Interesting note here...anyone else noticed how much slower Taylor was when running with the ball? Still a bit gimpy on that ankle of his.

John Ross.

Fire Smith right now this morning for getting the best play maker on that field the ball only twice that game. His one run play went for 11 yards. There is no fucking excuse for not getting him the ball more. Sweeps, short screen, reverse, or more tries at RB where he practiced all week. He is the fastest guy on that field and you only use him twice.

No way you can defend that. It's embarrassing.

And it's nothing personal wallace. I know he's a former beaver and I'd be tickled pink if he was working out for us. But he isn't. And it's not your fault, nor a reflection on your school. He is simply in over his head at this time on this team. Maybe he needs a few more years of work at lower levels and could be something, but right now he isn't high level major college OC material. He just isn't.

Yeah your leading the lynch mob Whiz, I get it. Always easy to point the finger at one guy and not at any of the 11 guys actually on the field of play.

I could form my own lynch mob at OSU as well...my OC never made any adjustments either AND it was nice weather in Palo Alto.

Would have been nice to see UWub punch that 4th quart drive into the endzone for the lead rather than a tie for a 10-10 game.

It's been a theme for their team all year regardless of weather.

Vs PAC competition the offense is not near where it should be.

Easily the worst offense since the 0-12 season and I'd actually argue this one is worse. At least the defense gave us something worth screaming for.

Coach Pete will take care of that given time. Look South. Seven win Sark is at it again.

I could care less IF Smith stays or goes as an OC whiz...perhaps your new HC should start calling plays now. I did think it was "creative" of Washington to play Shaq as a RB last nite. Worked well for them.

You can blame the kids for not executing when there are drops, blown assignments in the blocking, etc and there are always those things on every college team. These aren't pros. What is the role of an OC/play caller? Maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses while looking at both of those on the other side. You can't justify not even trying your best play maker for the entire game. And when they do use him they score. Look at the games where they had more than 14 points. Ross breaks open plays. How can you not even try using him more than twice in a game? THAT'S ENTIRELY ON SMITH.

Lolz..USC 3 losses were ALL competitive games at least, Trojans with a few breaks could still be undefeated. Sark has them moving in the right direction. Wait til he gets his full volume of scholies back next year.

OUCH for the rest of the Pac12.

It wasn't 'creative' it was all they had. Shaq wasn't on defense all night. He was moved to tailback because 4 of their 5 scholarship backs are out with injury. The only one left has had 3 ACL surgeries and isn't nearly what he once was.

They literally had no other choice. Put Shaq back there and give up his big play stopping at LB or put a walk-on back there.

But yet it's Smith's fault with the injuries at RB? It's obvious that good offensive teams in the Pac have "balance" on offense with BOTH running the ball AND throwing it. Miss either of those two things and it hard to win.

Well that and a healthy O-line to pull the balance thingie off.

Our teams are both missing pieces of the puzzle Whiz on offense...nuff said.
